To clarify the confusion, let me explain. Ive known girls have had crushes on me but that has more to do with attraction rather than actually liking or loving me. Crushes from girls were because of my athleticism, but not because of me as a person. I was surprised someone would actually love me enough to propose to me and pour her heart out saying she loves me. That was unexpected

That actually makes sense, A relationship built purely on physical attraction is a risk, you have nicely explained your shared experiences with this girl. There is enough there for a mutual bond to form and I wish you well.
