It depends on how fat the girl is and how she stores fat.

You see, I think there's a difference between "thick" girls and "fat" girls, the first option generally being seen as more attractive to men, and it all depends on the fat distribution spread out throughout your body. Generally speaking, men tend to prefer women who mostly store fat in their lower body, primarily in their legs, hips, and butt, while maintaining smaller arms, and a smaller belly and waist relative to the hips.

Above is an image of two women who each store fat in different ways. Generally speaking, men prefer women with a pear shape body type due to these type of women mostly storing fat in their lower body as opposed to their upper body. When men say they like thick girls, they're usually referring to women with the pear body shape.

Apple body shaped women are seen as less attractive because having bigger arms, a bigger waist and belly, takes away from the natural female curvature where the hips are supposed to be larger than the waist.

I've known small girls who are apple shaped.... their legs and butts were smaller than mine, but their bellies were a little bigger and they usually had huge breasts.

They received a fair amount Male attention.

I would not have considered any of them fat, though.

I've noticed bigger girls are more successful with garnering Male attentions. But I'm a bean pole (always have been, and at 40 not much has changed so I doubt it ever will  )

Thats just because women in general, receive more attention compared to men. If we're talking about number of romantic and sexual options, then women easily outcompete men in any avenue. Even average looking girls don't have much of a problem with finding guys.

It's a big reason why the incel community is disproportionally men. It's because wanting romance and sex but being unable to get romance and sex is primarily a male issue.

Although there are women who do struggle; they just tend to be less common compared to men.

Also, there are definitely men out there who like girls with some meat on them. Bigger girls tend to have bigger breasts and/or a bigger butt, which are both physical traits that many men find sexually attractive. On certain "sites", it's the girls with a curvy body and a big and round buttocks that often receives a lot of views and male attention.

So the idea that guys only like skinny girls is a myth. Some guys actually prefer curvier or thicker girls due to the above reason which I said in the previous paragraph.

Although the "slim thick" body type is also a big hit among men. It's a girl with a skinny body but has thick legs and thick ass; it's the best of both worlds many guys would say.

I'd date a bigger woman. I don't really care how much someone weighs (at least appearance-wise, I'd be concerned for health reasons if my partner was very overweight). The girl I dated and was attracted to the most was actually very overweight.

People underestimate how much excess body fat can mask curves. Women who are extremely overweight just take on the appearance of a 55 gallon oil drum and look a lot like overweight men. From behind I have trouble telling apart extremely overweight men and women and obviously overweight men don't rock my boat.

This is why I like toned women. Every single curve pops up and they also tend to be much more body confident and also smell a lot better in bed too. All of the chunky women I've beded have had a bit of a whiff to them whereas the 15 to 20% body fat women seem to take much better care of their hygiene (or at least have a lot less hard to reach places that can smell) I have a generous amount of leeway but when body fat just entirely covers all the nice curves of a woman I find it a big turn off physically.

I once dated a 300 pound woman who smelled fine. She was excellent in bed, too.

Most women I dated, though, were about average weight.

Yeah, if a woman is extremely overweight, then I'm not attracted to her.

I could date average girls, even thick girls, but girls who are extremely fat? No thanks. There has to be some level of sexual attraction.

Excellent in bed is very considerate as I am told that quite a few women seem to rob a man of the blankets and it is cold out there!

I quite like the look of overweight women. They look healthy.

It might depend on culture as well on what is considered attractive.

I don't know if this is true but I heard that in Africa, bigger women are considered more attractive because in certain parts of Africa, people tend to be poor and skinny, and bigger weight is associated with wealth and being more attractive.

Where in the US, food is abundant so excessive weight is seen as unattractive.

Depends on how big we're talking; say what you will about what is a healthy weight and such, but at a certain point, certain positions don't work in bed, and it's not fun. I'd kind of forgotten this a while back when I was dating a girl on the heavier side, then when I dated a skinny girl it was a real light bulb moment, like "oh yeah, if she's not carrying too much weight in her thighs, a ton of possibilities open up", and it's not just an aesthetic preference.

My current girlfriend is a BBW partly cuz of various mental & physical health issues. My 2nd was also a BBW. Looks are not really important to me when it comes to relationships thou I wouldn't complain if the BBW stood for Big Breasted Woman  I used to be skinny but me & current gf both gained a lot of weight since we moved in together 9 years ago. I really need to start working on getting in better shape.

Some guys like it if the woman stores fat in her boobs. I've heard some guys complain about how the boobs on his wife/gf got smaller when she lost weight.

20% to 35% body fat is ok. nice and feminine. normal and healthy. after that it gets unattractive quickly. i don have that paraphelia. a 50% obese woman (or man for that matter) i find personally disgusting, aesthetically, let alone sexually.

I don’t like calling people’s bodies disgusting nor am I a sexual person. I’m in the process of losing weight because I want my health to be better. I could NOT date a gym fanatic. I like exercise but hate the idea of fitness as a hobby.

I like guys into video games, have similar music tastes and cartoons. I don’t want to spend 95% of my life obsessing over washboard abs.

That's nice that you're comfortable with mediocrity and satisfied sitting on your butt watching reality tv, and don't seem to see any problem with that. That's your own prerogative. but some of us, actually want to be better versions of ourselves. Some of us actually think self-improvement is a positive thing. I personal find slim bodies aesthetically attractive and a outward signifier of good psychical and mental health and cant help but find their opposite state disgusting in comparison. Now maybe that because i sat on my butt as a kid watching Hollywood movies glamorizing these things. But Everybody develops their own standards, and i would say mine are fairly conventional.

btw im not a gym fanatic, it would be easier of me not to care, and not to have these ideals of beauty, i fall short of them, i'm not perfect, i'm not completely disciplined, but i try to make an effort , these are personal values i hold, that is all, and i can be unmerciful on others as i am on myself in my judgments. Thats just the way i am. I do have aspergers after all. Apparently black and white thinking is a trait.

If I had to do it all over again, I would ride more mopeds and chase after fewer Porches.
