I want to point out that personalities can change over time. Sometimes it is for the better but other times personalities get worse. Good people can develop drug & alcohol addictions, develop mental disorders, develop phsyical health problems that take a toll on their mental health, get very stressed by their employment situation, become very stressed by their living sitation, become very stressed by their families, & all that can take a major negitive toll on mental health.

I fell into a psychotic depression during my 1st relationship partly due to my mom on my back about me needing to be more independent & get a job even thou I was trying my best. I also had BAD anxiety & BAD OCD. I kinda lost my grip on reality & belived things were going on with my ex that were not. I became very unstable & controlling, demanding, & emotionally abusive. Most would think I was some horrible domestic abuser who should never be in a relationship. I am NOT that person in my current relationship. I HATED the person I was within my 1st relationship & I worked on myself a lot since then. I realized my anxiety & OCD caused lots of problems & I got on meds to treat em & meds to keep me more stable & grounded. I know am very far from perfect will always be but I have made a lot of progress since then & I'd much rather kill myself than become that person again & hurt Cass emotionally the way I emotionally hurt Emily.

Don't know what I'd do with status though, not sure I'd have much use for it.

Human motivation is a mix of genetic/biological drivers + Environment.
The biological drivers are much stronger > environment

There are always women who compromise their biological urges based on their specific circumstances. Environment also has a role to play to mitigate whether you date a guy who shows interest in you but isn't your first pick.

Good point. For a very long time marriages were primarily based on economic, social, &/or political reasons & love was an afterthought. it's only in fairly recent history that people started getting married for love. The amount of married couples getting divorced has gone up a lot since then so I don't think a lot of people really care about lasting love. As soon as a problem develops, their feelings of love suddenly change & they want to jump ship to the next partner who gives them butterflies in their stomach or finishes a sentence of theirs. People tend to not care about substantive things that can keep a relationship going. Instead the focus is all about chemistry & how they feel in their current exact moment & feelings can fluctuate & change some over time. People think of love as some Hollywood romance film or Disney fairy-tail where it's all about the atmosphere & their 1st kiss Always being there for your partner & having their back should count for something but NOT in the media & culture these days.

In terms of a romantic partner, I want it all obviously. Not one or the other.

Personality has a stronger edge simply because physical beauty fades. Then I'd be stuck with some boring raisin.

I have my own money, wtf do I need his for? My last boyfriend was a poet, so penniless lol I think he resented the fact I had more money than him actually.
What's status going to get me besides having to socialize with people I'm undoubtedly not going to like?
