Mixing decline and ascendency may seem an appealing notion to the one in decline, but although such a combination may result in a powerful reaction, this is due to opposing charges and violently reactive chemical constituents consuming each other at a rapid rate. All too soon, nothing will remain but a random sea of atoms of equal charge, with no further potential for change and growth.
The one in decline must remain at a distance, lest they drain and hinder the Ascendant.
