Ya, I understand this. I'm that way about passionate women. They usually have tempers, because they can't turn off the passion. I already had one of those. I'd rather have a kind smile than blazing eyes -- though, a little blaze is good. ;)

Interesting thought! I might reform my opinion.

Perhaps there are different kinds of passion? I'm passionate in, uh, that way, if you get my drift, but I'm not a real ambitious go-getter about other subjects (career, pasttimes, etc.)--I take my time and think hard about what I want and other priorities take precedence. Likewise, I have an impatient streak that I have to work hard to maintain control over under select circumstances, but I don't have much of a temper at all with my significant other. It would take something major for me to be upset.

Oh, there was plenty of good passion, if you get my drift. But, I then had to take the bad with the good. Passion can be either a vehicle for love, or for anger.

I guess the best combination, then, is: passionate partner with self-control.

But aren't women supposed to be conditioned to fall in love with whatever male image the film industry happens to be marketing?

I don't know when you are going to get it into your thick little ursine skull that women are not simple, hormonal animals with no free will, imagination or individuality. Men have individual tastes, therefore why shouldn't women?

I am female, and I never follow such social trends.

Unless, of course, they make a JtHM movie; in which case I stand corrected.

He's good looking but he's in desperate need of a shower and a comb. Plus, that whole macho, outdoorsie type thing doesn't go well with me.

Is that what that is? I thought he looked extraordinarily confused.

Not attracted, sorry.

I don't know what JtHM is, but does that mean that women are simple, hormonal animals with no free will, imagination, or originality, and that my thick little ursine skull is safe for the time being?

I hope that this is not the case, about it being what women want.

There are two states of mind I am not attracted to: shallowness and desperation.

I posted that picture because some women say they want their man to "fight for" them. But I've discovered that phrase has another meaning in modern times, which my ex-wife used on me, and which my friend's ex-girlfriend used on him: by their meaning of "fight for", they mean compete for their love -- jealously get into fights with other men in order to win her love. What. Ever.
