Mind you, I won't date anyone who doesn't dance, so maybe I should shut up.

Just make sure anyone you date isn't Southern Baptist, then. :D

What is it with some people and dancing? It takes me a month to get the basic steps for theater choreography down...

Weird that even aspie girls are so obsessed with the dancing thing.

Dancing means nothing to me.

That's a very good explanation </sarcasm>

Dancing has very little logical flow to it (other than fully choreographed broadway dances, which make at least a little sense, but are still impossible to manage)... that's why I prefer music (particularly singing), which is much more organized than dancing is...

Ballroom's pretty structured, if organization's your thing.

But for me, a physical expression doesn't need to be logical. It just has to swing, rock, or be funky. ;)

Lol. Dude, I'm aspie and I enjoy dancing. I go to a club every week. It's possible. Just takes some getting used to, getting out of your comfort zone.

I can get it...we all have our little thing that we all would more or less need a romantic partner to partake in to some extent. Like me with my goth thing. It's a cultural thing...if you're not at all into it, you'll never understand a large chunk of what I'm about. So I don't blame JulieKitty for her dancing thing at all.

needs:

- female
- around my age, roughly
- she has to be nice. No problem if she's sarcastic, likes banter, etc.
- she has to be at least a little intelligent - not necessarily in a scholarly way.
- she has to have some interest in literature
- she has to accept me - of course I don't expect her to think I'm perfect, I know I have many faults, but she cannot expect me to become a completely different type of person.

wants are more complicated, and in any case satisfying these core needs is probably as good as it gets - single girls with even just the needs characteristics just don't exist here.

6. Cannot be asexual, or wanting to wait until marriage.
7. Must make at least $50,000 per year.

Also, the South Park criteria actually has nothing to do with the show itself. While it really is one of my favorite shows, that criteria is mainly to prove that I am not "just looking for one thing".

Also, she must be a Christian. Yes, a Christian who can also do #6.

I have a list because I like making lists. And it hasn't hindered me. I've been pretty successful in getting what I want, so to speak.

Required:
1. Extensive knowledge of at least one genre of music that I appreciate
2. Enthusiasm for garlic
3. Not square
4. Does not participate in organized religion
5. Lack of interest in professional sports (as a spectator)
6. NO huge, bulging muscles
7. Indifference to most major holidays
8. Honesty and appreciation of honesty
9. Compassionate, generous, that kind of nice stuff
10. Sense of humor that is compatible with my sense of humor
11. About as reclusive as I am
12. Appreciation of ALL kinds of animals (can live with dogs, snakes, and spiders)
13. No cleanliness-related compulsions
14. NOT bossy or manipulative
15. Loves me for who I am - does not want to change me or change in order to please me

Desired:
1. Record collection (b/c I collect records)
2. Plays guitar or another instrument that I like
3. Writes songs
4. Creative - expresses this in different ways
5. Dark hair
6. Loves reptiles
7. Enjoys outdoor activities like hiking
8. Into one or more of the many varieties of punk or goth or metal or some related genre
9. Big enough vocabulary to understand me all the time
10. Likes to travel

Those lists aren't perfect, just a general idea. It was hard to decide what should go on which list. There's a large grey area between them. And there's a lot more that should be on the first list but is hard to put into words.
