It is scary techie. I've been a friend to the ladies, like most of my life, but when i was getting around the age of 17-18, i started to realize how they like to control things. I was talking to my best friend about how attractive i thought this guy was, and she would tell me the negatives why i shouldn't feel that way. Then down the road i learned that she didn't believe i was gay, and that is was all in my head. How f***ing scary is that?? Someone who befriends you to try to "mold" you. Crazy.

I have to admit, that I have had the same problem and I am a woman. Meaning that I have tried to befriend other women, only to have them turn around and try to convince me that I am gay, just because they found that they were attracted to me! And then they would turn ugly, or ignore me, or stalk me if I said I was straight and not interested in them that way.

Also, i want to get out there that many people believe that guys who are AS have to be straight, due to chemicals in utero. I don't believe this, but this common misconception about the autistic, has had it devastating effects on me thoughout life. Women, don't make me get a tatoo on my head saying 'queer-bait' or 'cock-master'. You should just damn well trust me. I could go on and on...

'queer-master' may get you a bit of perceived authority, though, so don't rule it out entirely.

Ive never heard that Aspie males are assumed to be straight. Although I have no data, Ive never heard anything to suggest that homosexuality is any more or less likely for Aspies than for NTs.
