Help! NT needs help learning how to love an Aspie

I can't offer much help without specifics.
Ever heard the phrase "distance makes the heart grow fonder"?
I read somewhere about a woman married to an aspie. She said her husband was always a little distant, but because of this she never took her husband's affection for granted. She appreciated him more.
