Hi!
I am Luke. I have HFA (173 neurodiversity and 44 neurotypical.) I am a 20 year old straight male who is currently living in the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania area going to college trying to get my bachelors in history and pre-law studies.
Interests: I love to read books, study history, watch baseball and memorize baseball stats and watch movies (I love knowing random actors and pointing out their work haha 8) )
Personality: I'm very shy at first. But after I warm up to you (after a fair amount of effort) I've been told that I'm kinda funny! I'm a really kind person on the inside and a hopeless romantic but I have trouble meeting and getting to know people right off the bat. Give me a chance and you won't be disappointed!
Physical Characteristics: I'm 5 foot 7 inches with a curly mop of black hair. I'm of average build with brown eyes. I look rwally Irish and Italian because I'm really Irish and Italian haha
Feel free to PM me!
Thank you!

I'm Mike. I'm a 29-year-old software programmer in Charlotte, NC. I'm 5'11, 198-200, with a bit of a dad bod.
I live in a townhome with a roommate, but otherwise am completely independent; employment has never been an issue, much less anything else. I'm...socially awkward and have been compared to Sheldon way too many times for it to be coincidential, and some psych screenings seem to reinforce this for now. :/ I'm a walking wiki, but I generally keep it toned down, and am really sensitive about scaring off people, coming off as arrogant, or anything to make me an other.

I'm pretty go-with-the-flow, and quick to trust people, sometimes to my own detriment. I don't really have any obsessions per se, but my newest hobby nowadays is blacksmithing; I'm still new to it, but so far I've made a knife, a spear, fireplace poker, and two copper rings. I plan to learn gemcutting/insetting too; I feel that honing a craft will help with self-esteem (and maybe build some muscle too), and the sentimental sappy romantic side of me wants to be able to propose with an engagement ring I made specifically for that occasion.

Otherwise, feel free to message me with whatever.

Hey, I'm Aaron :) I'm 25, 5'7" tall, blonde, with glasses.
I live in Milledgeville, Georgia for the time being, and right now I'm self-employed as a freelance writer. I have two bachelor's degrees, one in animation and one in sociology, and I'm very interested in film. I spend a lot of my time working on creative projects, usually animated short films that take ages to complete. But I would like to find ways to broaden my horizons in the future. I enjoy writing for fun when I get the rare opportunity, and have worked some with short stories and a novel that will probably never see the light of day.

I'm a very ambitious and driven person, but I don't really have a clear idea of where I'm going in life. I struggle a lot with depression and anxiety, and it's made me a little bit too existential in nature. I find it hard to relate to a lot of people or to care about the same things as they do. I want to, but it's hard. Though I also find that I just enjoy the little things in life that I think get taken for granted a lot; things that aren't necessarily fun or exciting. I haven't ever been in a relationship, but simple things like going to the store with a friend or accompanying someone to an appointment are strangely enjoyable for me, and I think that would especially be the case with a significant other. And I like doing nice things for people.

Kind of just giving this a shot for now. I've been spending a bit too much time on my own lately, and this seemed worth a go. I don't have roots down anywhere in particular at the moment, so if I met the right person by some weird chance I would be open to something long distance.

But yeah, that's me in a nutshell :)

Hello, I am Dylan
I am 24, 6 foot 2 inches, brown short hair that grows quickly, and an average build.
I enjoy plants, especially carnivorous ones and have a sizable collection of carnivorous plants both inside and outside the house with a constant need to acquire more. I have recently started a vegetable garden focusing on pumpkins and brocoli.

I am a dishwasher at a dine-in resturant where I work while taking online classes in religion to become a theologian. I currently have an associates degree in science and am trying to move dishwasher to substitue teacher. Other interests include H.P. Lovecraftian stories, comic books, insects, and videogames. I can do 60-70 pushups in a single sitting.

I am normally described as quiet, but when I do start talking I like to discuss whatever random thing pops into my head, whether or not it pertains to the conversation at hand. I try to always be helpful to others when my antisociallness allows me and I don't easily get angry or stressed out; but yelling does really stress me out. I don't drink, smoke, or do anything else considerred remotely bad for you. Finally, I have never dated before and thus have no expereince.

PM me if your a woman who finds any of this mildly interesting.

TXorchid: have you tried dating sites tailored to Christians? Seems like you would have more success there.

Thank you Beau for your suggestion! I don't date online much but have used Christian dating sites for years. I recently decided to seek out Aspie men not just NT men. So, how to find a fellow Aspie on mainstream dating sites, Christian-focused or no? I accept that I have Aspergers; yet even I am reticent to put that out there in an online dating community that may not be understanding about the Autism spectrum. When a great guy omits the fact that he has Aspergers from his mainstream dating ad, there's a side effect: Aspie girls like me who are looking for him can't find him. So, I'm trying here....Who knows what could result?

Friendship and getting wiser about Aspergers is mainly why I'm here. And I believe I will make many new friends here on Wrong Planet. :) Finding an interested guy isn't crucial to my happiness. I view that prospect as icing on the cake.

Too old?
I will give this a try, even though I see that nearly everyone who has posted is much younger. Maybe there are some mature Aspies out there, too? I am a 42 year old female. I am working on a Master's degree and I am employed as a college instructor. My interests are: art, history, gardening, reading. I am pretty active and I want someone who will DO activities with me. I cannot sit at home and watch tv, so a person who can go to Shakespere in the park, or the gardeners' fair, or historical reenactment so is what I am seeking. I have some sensory issues, but I also have some decent coping skills. I have lived this long!! :D
I live in Kentucky. Anybody out there aged 35 - 50?

There are older ones (like me, also being 42), but remember that some aspies are very asocial and prefers to be alone rather than out in the world with all the noises, smells, touching and lights.

I was thinking of making a post on here, but before I take the time to do so, I was wondering, has anyone actually met someone on here? I'd like to hear of some success stories to give those that decide to post here some encouragement. Hopefully that doesn't come off as sounding like a strange request.

I have. Had an online relationship that lasted almost a year. I know for a fact that I'm not the only one either.

You are very right, Ichinin, I am pretty active for an Aspie, I guess. I do go out to very geeky activities. I also go on a lot of "off" hours, though, or days which are less crowded. I cannot handle a lot of noise, nor lights and commotion, either. I really like to be outside. A lot. Almost constantly. The list of what I don't do, to aviod torturing myself is still substantial. I guess I think I have some kick @$$ coping skills, too though. And ear plugs.

Hello, I'm Hannah. I am 20 and am interested in technology, Artificial Intelligence theory, conceptual/surrealistic art, cognitive science, philosophy, science, poetry, and writing.

I am a very fluid individual who is extremely analytical and has the tendency to become a dreamer at times (One would say one of my favorite hobbies is to escape this reality with my various interests or past times haha! But I will have to kiss reality's cold hard lips eventually. I am incredibly cerebral, I mostly just like staring into the abyss as I create alternate realities of my own within my imagination or just thinking of stuff.)

I love humor. I love dank memes, satire, cheesy humor, your mom jokes, and dark humor as well. That also includes self depreciating humor. If you choose to befriend me, I will probably make jokes at your expense as well at one point or another.

I am looking for a sensible, open minded, down to earth, good sense of humor, good at writing , cerebral/thinker oriented individual. I know beggers can't be choosers but I find most people with these traits seem to befriend me the best. I can be a little difficult to befriend. None the less, I of course want to communicate with people in the AS community. Feel free to PM

I know what you mean. I used to have a girlfriend like that, and I really miss it...I can't even think of the last time I went to the beach =|

And yes, earplugs are wonderful.
