Oddly none of them have actually messaged me, even though most of them have visited my profile multiple times, with the one girl visiting several times a day over the last several days.

I do, in a bizarre way, find it flattering, I just wish that a few of those showing interest were people I could potentially reciprocate with. As it is now, it's just the same sort of girls who approach me in real life.

You're right, they are more or less completely average. There are millions of women who are just like these few. Some of them are more overweight than others.. thats to be expected in any sample.. but guess what? I don't find any of them even remotely attractive. If I saw these women in a bar, store, coffee shop or in my Math Class, I wouldn't talk to any of them as anything more than passing acquaintances. All the women on this site like to talk about "The spark" or "Chemistry", well there is nothing resembling that here. I just see these women as human beings who are clicking a link on a website because they like my photo, or they like something I've said in my profile preview.

Beyond that, really my problem with them is that, for the most part, they are too old. I'm not interested in finding an grown woman who is going to wind up acting more like my mom than a potential lover. On paper, I'm nearly 30, yes, in my head, I'm much closer to 19 or 20. I don't drive, I'm still working on school, I have never had a full time job. I have nothing in common with people my own age, let alone with people who are older than I am.

I f****d up and think I am done with Okcupid... Apparently I was incorrect and you actually do get alerted whenever somebody views your profile EVERY TIME and I didn't realize and checked that girl who I was talking too's profile like a few times a day and now knowing that people actually see when you view their profile each time I'm just done and feel too embarrassed to try and contact her or anyone again... I mean she probably thinks I'm f*****g creepy as hell and so well everyone else in this f*****g world...

If you want to browse privately and still see people who view your profile, then you have to pay for a subscription. I believe it can be accessed through settings-> general.
