Generally speaking, Moroccan women certainly look more natural (they don't even have the fake eyebrows trend) than Lebanese women! Here it became the central region of plastic surgery for the entire arab world.

Fake eyebrows, ewl. Stuff like that and fake tans and such are considered extremely tacky here (think Geordie Shore tacky).

I recall I've offended two girls once by thinking they are sisters.

Me: Are you sisters?

Them: Grrr!! ! NO!!

They have exactly the same mouth shape, cheeks and nose , how wouldn't I mistake them as sisters!!

Oh, that's awful. I remember the situation in Iran was somewhat similar, lots of surgery and also lots of make-up and so on. Same with the white teeth trent, it's so obvious it's fake because teeth are not naturally white, they are teeth-colored.

Interesting thing in the second article, how people are open about their surgery and walk around with their nose in a bandage. As the article says, people elsewhere would hide their surgery. The article also mentions that getting married is a high priority in Lebanon, maybe it is less so in Morocco? If the women are more independent they may not feel the need for surgery. In the Netherlands there's a bit of a stereotype of independent young Moroccan women, they get much better education than the Moroccan men generally. Maybe the same is true in Morocco compared to Lebanon?

Hehe. Don't forget about people who can barely frown anymore because they had surgery. Zombieface. And why are they always making noses smaller with nosejobs? If anyone would tell me I had a big nose I would tell them it correlates with penis size. Hmm, women don't really have that option.

Since some people complained there were not enough women in this thread, and in keeping with the Nazi theme of today, I got another little gem here. Asian Nazis, that's a double facepalm. I guess they never read the book.

Oh crap, I think this bar is in Indonesia. Triple facepalm, those people certainly got raped by the Axis.

Well... I came to this thread expecting to see a bunch of people talking about why they think they'll be alone forever. Instead, I'm treated to cosmetic surgery shaming and nazis that don't make sense.

This whole thread doesn't make sense. It has become more of a slowchat thread with pics of potatoes and sausages (don't ask, it's Czech cuisine), cute cat pictures, viking parodies and lots of weird food pics. The grand question is why is Boo more popular in Morocco than in his own country?

And I posted the Nazi girls exactly because they don't make sense. If someone walks around with an outfit like that in Europe they'll probably get assaulted. It's Remembrance Day/V-Day in many parts of Europe. It is just very strange to Europeans that there are bars and restaurants in Asia with a Nazi theme, if you google "nazi bar" or "nazi cafe" you can see the photos. It's just completely beyond belief, especially considering what the Nazis though of anyone who was not a German.

No one is shaming cosmetic surgery; but we are wondering why it's too popular in some places.
And when it's extreme (ie super big lips), yeah, it's distastful.

Trollcatman, I’m always shocked when I see these Asian people with swastikas…WTF
I hope that they are ignorant of what it means…

I know in Sweden there is a problem with neo Nazis; it’s unbelievable to me how people can be so stupid and ignorant. A week or so ago a survivor was telling his story to the public in a school and neo Nazis walked in and started taking pictures of people in the audience and after there were flyers and crap with neo Nazi propaganda. I sometimes wish that stupidity and ignorance was a lethal disease…

Boo, maybe there are more single women in Morocco ? And maybe it is more important there to marry than in Lebanon? Maybe you are seen as a bad woman if you are unmarried before a certain age? Maybe that is why you get so many female responses? Or you are just exotic to them :D

I don't think their men had evaporated.

No.

The "spinster" stupid label you mean? it's the same here.

No, there's virtually no difference in looks between Levantines and Maghrebians.

Though stereotypically-speaking, Moroccan women are known to initiate contact with men of their interest (and it's not that untrue from my online and irl contact with them). It is not uncommon to see one gives her phone number without asking her , and she would ring the guy too in case you give her your nb; happened to me too many times and I believe it's cultural.

^^^ About marriage, maybe it is the opposite? Women in Morocco may feel less pressure to get married, and that is why they are more interested in dating?
