Well I can't speak for the others but I wouldn't say anything that I don't mean. I may have just overlooked your pictures, I'm not the most observant person. Actually, I went back through this thread and found the post you are talking about starvingartist.
I think I know why your picture may not have been commented on. You posted something interesting in your message, so most people were responding to what you said instead of looking at your picture. That's why we're all here isnt it? We're more interested in information than people? lol

But honestly, I do think your picture is quite nice and your hair and eye color are lovely.

starvingartist, do you have a picture from a different angle that shows your face better? I find it hard to imagine your whole face from that angle.

And trust me, you are not ugly. I can tell that. There were women on this thread that I found much less appealing than you.

I want to dye my hair that color. Really, I've been trying to find a way to do so realistically but I don't think I can pull it off
