What do men want?
![Image](https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/559911_10151610724393793_1367041672_n.jpg)
And what happens when we are already that kind of man.. and it does us precisely no good because all the girls our age are too busy out trying to f**k anything that will bend them over or buy them drinks?
How could you possibly know that all girls your age are doing that... and I question your assessment of their motivation. Just because you're not the type of guy that these girls are looking for, doesn't mean they are such base creatures etc.
The solution may be as simple as not attempting to get with women who don't want to be with you, not making them out to be mindless sex-machines that run on alcohol and degradation.
Maybe that attitude about women who don't want you is repelling women in general, dude.
Nope, pretty much I'm right on this count. You have no idea what kind of a s**thole town I live in. These women do want me though, that's just it, I was even engaged to one of them for a while. Until I decided that it was time to stop enabling her vices. Then she left me for her drug dealer. Even the ugly overweight girls are out chuffing down meth smoke as fast as their toothless herpes having boyfriends will buy it for them.
I mean, nevermind the fact that I know this from personal experience. Nevermind that I've seen it up front. Nevermind that the ONLY girls who don't seem to be doing this in my town, are single moms who finally grew out of it.
Nope, it's clearly all just my attitude that's causing the problem.
The plural of anecdote is not 'data'. Unless the population in your town is just a few hundred people, I really doubt you know what every or even the majority of women in your age range are doing, and I'd only buy that if you were intensely stalking them to observe them in their personal lives.
But I'm not the one who dislikes your situation, it's not a problem in my life, and I'm content with whatever direction you want to take the conversation, but I don't think I'm going to put much more effort into arguing about it.
P.S. the way you're talking about women demonstrates to me that you are the kind of guy parents want to stay away from their daughters.
My town only has a few hundred people.
basically every female in town who is between my age and my sisters age I either know because I went to school with them, have worked with them, or my sister did one of the two. I can't speak for girls much younger than that though, or much older than I am because I don't know them. But my "Cohort" to use the technical term, only has a handful of people in it due to me being in such a small town. we have a handful of fastfood places and a walmart. If you go into town at all you see people you know constantly. And I live in an area that is extremely depressed. Depressed areas with no opportunities are havens for drugs and vice, because, well, why not.
Also, I don't talk about women like this in real life.
Honestly I don't know why I'm even talking to you, you're every bit as much of a brick wall as hyperlexian. You never listen to reason, and you never will accept that women can do anything wrong. It's ALWAYS the mans fault. Go watch some more lifetime channel or something.
Well, at least you're aware what you're saying isn't acceptable to other people - "Also, I don't talk about women like this in real life."
It's unfortunate you don't have the same consideration for members of the forum, but I assume you're being intentionally provocative now that you've clarified that you wouldn't say these things to people's faces.
I have no idea why you're attempting to drag hyperlexian into this conversation, but maybe you're just trying to be provocative with that as well.
Thanks for making your intentions clear.
Meems has very valid points.
Rabbitss, your initial comment was misogynist, overgeneralizing and insulting towards all young women in your area. Furthermore, you talk about yourself as the "ideal" guy of the description of luvsterries' picture as well as someone far too good for women in your area. You do not exactly come across as such a trophy based on your past comments. I'm not going to comment on the state of your town, as I have no knowledge about it, but I do find it both arrogant and overgeneralizing to suggest that you are the only decent person within the whole town. I wish you the best of luck in making your way out, and becoming less miserable all due to your surroundings.
You also made a personal attack against meems as well as Hyperlexian, who hasn't been anyhow part of this conversation. That was entirely unnecessary.
Also you say you don't talk to women like that "in real life". A message for you: we are all real people in this forum living the "real life".
You are not using "reason" in your past comments, you talk out of emotion and frustration which doesn't qualify as "truth" or data. Also too much generalizing is never a wise move to do, even if it's a common error to make. I believe you already came to a conclusion that "monkey see, monkey do" is not necessary the best way to go about things.
Try to take this post as constructive feedback.

No, I'll take it for what it is, more people whining about not be able to handle my observations. It's not 'Constructive' because theres nothing in it that I can use to address issues. My issues are totally external, I'm held back by the quality of the people I'm surrounded by. Arrogence is a virtue. If I'm better than them, why shouldn't I act like it? If I'm not, then I'm lieing to them and to myself.
Everything a woman doesn't like is "Misogynist". Everything a guy ever dares complain about is "Misogynist" on this forum. That's what I was pointing out. Whatever meems or hyperlexian or whoever it is this week constantly decrying "Misogyny" whenever they don't get their own way or you're not agreeing with them 100%. I don't think it's insulting to point out a pattern of behavior.
Generalizations and stereotypes exist for a reason, because they are observable over and over again. Anecdote is just a fancy word to discredit facts you don't like.

If it's one of those towns where the job opportunities are gas station, McDonalds, C.O. of that nearby prison, or meth lab assistant, the town is a massive problem even if you're a stupid, crappy person. At least in a bigger town or city, there is a bigger variety of things and people for a stupid, crappy person to screw up with, so there could be a learning process in there. What do you do if you've exhausted all options in Poopville, USA? Meth.
Exactly. the choices here are, get paid under the table to work at a convenience store/gas station. Work for Walmart. Work for Fastfood. Or drive 30 miles to work some place else.
I'm not disputing that there are meth heads in small towns, and every kind of town/city.(especially in the South) My city is rife with drug use in some areas. Well, drug use is everywhere, but meth/crack etc. is very obvious once you know what it looks like. A lot of pharmaceuticals that are legally prescribed are pretty obvious here too, lots of people here are clearly on a lot of opiates or benzos. There are a lot of people throughout America whose drug use is visible.
My initial comment was about the statement that all women were trading sex for guys buying
them drinks. Before they all became meth heads, or single moms, or fat and ugly. I just
don't buy that the failure is all on the shoulders of the female population of whatever town
this is. Especially coming from a guy who first claims to be a really good guy, then says all
women in his area are all of these things etc. etc. and further, admits he wouldn't say these
things in real life.
It's male and female here, the men steal and the women trade sex favors and steal for a bump.Watch Winter's Bone.Filmed in this area. No,it's not a good idea to talk to these people or even be in the same vicinity. Most murders here go unsolved, lots of missing people. You don't even look someone who is jeetered out in the eye.My ex was severly beaten by a tweaker because he asked the wrong question.
Yeah, it's just people in general here. When I was a teenager I sold drugs, not meth or crack, but I got to see a lot of those people(meth heads and crack heads substitute with anything when they can't get speed) so I lost several friends to violence related to drugs. And I don't have any problem admitting my friends were kind of thuggish and just dumb kids who bit off more than they could chew and ended up shot for money or drugs.... but NONE of those murders were ever even seriously investigated.
Part of it was self-destruction, tempting life to go horribly wrong... but it dawned on me that I was actively contributing to heroin addicts lives being hell, and I was going to end up shot and robbed by some junkies at best, eventually, someone was going to rob me since I wasn't part of a larger operation.
Then I moved away from here for several years and when I came back... EVERYONE and their mom sells weed, meth has become really common, crack less so, and the only people selling heroin are really dangerous people involved in gangs and the whole drug problem here changed drastically, and there are broken down motels full of women and men selling their bodies and people selling crack or meth or whatever. It's become a totally different place. Even the high school has upwards of thirty busts per semester of kids selling meth in the school. It's insane.
It's a small city, but it's rife with drugs. I'm glad I never got hurt when I was trying to f**k my life up. Seeing these people when I'm in those areas of town makes me feel sad and relieved at the same time. It's horrible that they live like that but I'm glad I had better sense than to use meth or whatever. I can't even fathom why someone would want to try meth. Or crack. Other drugs, I understand, but meth and crack just make people paranoid and mess up their bodies and they are angry and on edge all the time.
I don't get how that's something people enjoy.

I know. I spent a large part of my youth in Poopville, USA. I have no hope for these places. They must be abandoned and cleansed with fire.

Well see there you go, So you do understand the issue that I'm complaining about. The problem is when you're at a low socio-economic bracket, you're surrounded by other people who are desperate to either make money, or escape their problems by hiding behind drugs. I'm know for a fact that in my graduating class plenty of the girls I went to school with went on to college and did stuff with their lives.. the problem is they left and didn't come back. So what I got stuck with as my available population were the ones who were self destructive and or self destructed burnouts by the time they finished highschool.. so they are now either waffle house waitresses and single moms.. or they are drug and alchohol abusers who can't keep a job because of random tox screens.. so then they sell their bodies instead.
and don't dare try to help these people becuase they don't want it. They take your "Help" as patronizing them and then grow to resent you, and will shamelessly lie to you and play with your emotions to get what they want.
The addition of all the synthetic "legal" drugs like Spice and Kratom and bath salts and all that s**t hasn't helped at all. It just means that the only reason you have to get clean, that is to get a job, now no longer exists. Here even the doctors are part of the problem. Everyone knows that doctor or nurse practitioner who needs money and is more than happy to write you a scrip for 90 Lortab 10's for 500$.. you then turn around and sell those for 10-15$ each tablet and make a profit and then turn around and do it again...

I was starting to think you had changed. Now I can see you're just as before and won't admit to your problems when someone points them out then complain about crap advice when someone doesn't say exactly what you want them to
I actually have to agree with this.. it's kind of ridiculous.
meh.
Nothing can change until the biggest problem is changed. Geography. I'm perfectly fine, I'm perfectly happy with me apart from some social anxiety problems. I'm intelligent, good looking, and I go out of my way to make people happy. But I'm limited by the dregs I have to live around.
In a different world, in a different socio-economic setting, I could have fully realized my potential by now. But my low social standing and low socio-economic status has held me back for my entire life, but i'm not delusional, I'll never be able to divest myself of that. There is no way to do it now. Class is something that America had to invent for itself, and we've done it, and now it's calcified and unbreakable. The trick is to move some place where no one knows me and pretend I'm a higher class than I actually am.
Essentially, like the film "A Knight's Tale"

"everyone and their mom" is a figure of speech. Our cities don't sound similar. People aren't segregated by socioeconomic status in any regard but the neighborhoods they live in. Though drugs are a problem here, it's still easy to seek out people who aren't part of the drug problem. If I were at all interested in meeting a girl right now I would probably go to a show in a bigger city, nearby, and try to meet people in those outside cities.
And, no, you claim every woman in your town is a prostitute for alcohol, then you added drugs to the list, and described the rest as being either single mothers, or fat and ugly.
You clearly have some bad feelings toward women in general, and that's your thing, and I don't want to take that hate away from you. But I'm not going to pretend your denial of any of your problems coming from you is convincing me of anything.
And people always either think I'm a dude, or maybe they think they're being snarky, but I like the term 'dude' and I've never found it offensive to be mistaken for a guy on the forums.

What is the median income in your town? Is there an enormous gap between your socioeconomic status and the rest of the people in your town? In a town with just a few hundred people... and a meth problem... I'm confused as to how differences in income are so significant where you are.

The town itself has about 4000 people total, but there are two distinct groups of people in the town. There are the families of the people who used to own the mills, and who got rich when they shipped the mills to china. And there are the families of the people who used to work in the mills and now are close to destitute becuase the good jobs in town are basically gone.
It's pretty bad when being a Sherriffs deputy (and getting paid about 26,000$ a year or a CNA and getting about 15,000$ a year are considered "Good Jobs". I can't give you the median income because it's skewed due to the rich people who all work in Atlanta and can afford to commute the 120 mile round trip 5 days a week to do it.

The problem is that you are not acting like a better person. Just an arrogant person with deluded supremacy. That does refer to not all of your problems being external.
When you make hateful, generalizing comments about women it is what is known as misogynist. There is no point in you trying to claim to be a victim of some conspiracy. You have made provocative comments and realistically, you can expect people to call you out for doing it. Men in this forum have in past been called out for making hateful comments about women just like there are women who have been called out for making statements such as "all men are evil". There is no point in you crying out being a victim when people don't agree with you, and furthermore, trying to avoid responsibility and as well as the topic by pointing the finger at others.
Generalizations are common, but not data. How would you feel about being considered as a good for nothing drug addict just because living in the town where you do? After all, you are the only decent person there
