He knows I like him at least. I even asked him to "reject" me a week or so ago, because I hate the silent and ignoring type of rejection I thought he was giving me. He said we should stay friends because we work together (lame but I accepted it). Now he's being weird and taking the initiative more often to text and email me, and he's more willing to go places with me and hang out. I can't figure out if it's because he's returning interest in me (albeit cautiously), or because the romantic awkwardness is gone and now feels more comfortable interacting with me as a friend.

Sorry for being boring, but I wonder if crushes are more apparent in younger people as I don't recall having a crush since the age of 17. And i don't like the feeling of being deeply IN love as it makes me feel annoyed somehow. Me and intense emotions just don't get along I guess.
