A person gets up the confidence to post a pic. Their pic is then completely ignored. Something most of us have had to deal with in real life. Thus in their eyes their attempt at taking a chance had failed and most likely resulted in that self-esteem being crushed.
I sort of agree. IMO the only way to make this thread neutral is to stop people from making comparative comments. saying that someone is more attractive than "most of the females on the thread" (sorry can't remember who wrote that) is going to make half the females who posted think "did he/she mean me?" etc
there was a couple of males who actually spelled it out clearly "I think X is more attractive than Y".
this is seriously rude and can be crushing to someone's self-esteem.
on the other hand, I don't see being ignored as such a bad thing, and IIRC starvingartist you got a lot of compliments about your avatar picture on one of the threads you started on GDF. whatever.
I'm so happy I didn't post my pics on this thread... :p
