My cousin who is full Korean is the same way. She hates how the girly bands dress. The Korean female singers anyways look so anorexic and they dress like... But that is what gives them the $$$ and popularity I guess.

men double or sometimes triple their age, goes on the hunt for foreign women that are not polluted by feminazis. That is the quest, and why they can't find these women with the values at home, is probably because they are not available and my guess is that those women who do actually want to be a house wife are ridiculed by society and hide from putting her self out there claiming that she wants the dream of just becoming a house wife and there is no shame in doing so. It gives men and women purpose in life instead of this free for all, see what you can get out of a lucky packet. I'm not saying women shouldn't be free to do as they please, but they should allow those that do want to be in the traditional sense a house wife, to leave them be or at least accept them for it.

Or it could be that some of the men are just creepy and undesirable, and the Russian women just marry them in order to get a visa and then immediately divorce, or maybe stick around just for the money.

I don't think these issues are limited to Asia. Most of these things would apply almost equally to the United States and many other countries as well.

Asian Metal, yeehaw! Love it! I checked out a few Japanese metal bands, they are pretty cool too, can't remember their names. If I ever really learn Russian, German, Japanese, Finnish, and Chinese, I will be able to listen to much more music!! ! I love traditional music too, Irish Traditional/Folk/Bar Songs, Ukrainian Traditional, German Folk/Traditional, Japanese Tradtional with those beautiful drums and flutes! I like The Japanese Traditional music style because it can express so many tones of mood or accents to slice of life scenes, creepy but peaceful and calming, then to scary and aggressive. I love music. Music, Food, and Good times with locals and friends, best way to enjoy a different country in my opinion. Oh and the oktoberfest with bratwurst and pumpkin spiced lager, mmm, Germany. I love it!! ! I would love to try your fried tuna liver, mmmm, delicious (it actually is to me, mm liver). Now I am going on amazon and buying Japanese Traditional songs who will join me?

Definitely undeserving -- and below average. Contrary to media stereotypes, China has many very attractive women; in the north, they all look half caucasian and are super tall anyway.

China, like the U.S., often encourages women to have an unreasonable sense of entitlement (of course, as in the U.S., many women do not succumb to the pressure). Despite what the article says about women having their pick, and despite China's unbalanced gender ratio, there's a growing phenomenon called the "sheung nu" or "left-behind woman" -- basically women in their 30's who are caught between their high standards and their low desirability.

Basically, the high-status, wealthy men often have something approximating a harem. The men without money get nothing, and many, many women who don't meet the perfect model of Chinese beauty and submissiveness refuse to date men who don't meet the perfect epitome of Chinese manhood and then end up in their 30's and 40's alone. The way Chinese culture teaches women to think, only supermodels have a chance.

If you're going to date Chinese women, as a Westerner, it's important to either be open to the "sheung nu" in their 30's or else to find the minority of women in their 20's who are rebellious against China's regressive attitudes about gender roles. There are definitely women in their 20's who will only date foreigners for this reason. But if you're going to China because you think Western "feminists" are annoying, you're not going to have much luck because the Chinese women willing to date foreigners are often quite feminist even by Western standards.

Well, my girlfriend is Chinese and I am white (we live in America). My advice is to just approach them the same way you would approach anyone else. Asian girls (or any other demographic) are offended when you let stereotypes guide your conversation.

I would definitely not advise saying that you prefer Asian women. You want her to feel like you are interested in her as an individual, rather than a fetishized commodity.

Just remember that not every girl you approach will be right for you, but if you keep trying, you are sure to find one who is interested.
