I've come up with a new tact to approach this question.

I'm single because there are no women in my geographic region who realize what a great opportunity they are passing up by not being in a relationship with me.

Their loss.

Because I am an aspie and tend not to initiate the first moves. I only initiate moves if they initiate their moves on me first but unfortuanately I do not pick up on it right away and they think I am weird and walk away. When I expect it, it never comes, when I want it it never comes but when I do not expect it, or dont want it, it comes. The world can be a confusing place. I do notice women tend to be attracted when I am not interested or am with someone at the time but when I show interest and am alone they ignore me. And I am not always the best one to initiate the first moves.

I don't know a single, single woman and don't have a viable way to meet any.

I can't really connect to anyone, especially if I like the person...

Hehe... I found someone >.>

And I have AS. And he has AS.

Having AS alone isn't a reason to be single... it's frightening that people think it is. :(

Anyway, I'm going to stop following this thread... even if I hadn't found someone, this thread just makes my eyes cross... >.<

We should be supporting each other and pointing out our strengths and marvels, not being self-deprecating and helping each other tear one another down. :-/

Anyway... that's my two-farthings worth of in-put. Take it for what it is.

*hugs*

I am too cautious about choosing a partner after witnessing many fights and hearing many horror stories.

I've read so many FML's about relationships gone sour I will not trust girls.

I don't know how to play the dating game. I'm not aware when somebody likes me and I might look too unavailable. I don't know how to seduce those that I'm interested in. And, last but not least, I'm so scared that I will get emotionally suffocated by my partner. I so need time alone and time to pursue my interests, I have yet to meet the man that would be willing to have this kind of relationship with me...

The main reason is because I'm a commitment-phobe, plus a little bit wary of relationships after my last one which ended about a year ago.
I'm also ridiculously picky, again possibly due to previous relationships. Anyway I have my degree to focus on so I'm not too bothered about relationships at the moment.

Just realised - nothing at all has changed in my situation.
To the point where, a few days after I got a new haircut, a man asked me why I was postponing getting a haircut.

Perhaps I should dedicate my life to some absurd racist ideology and see where that takes me. I look European enough. :P
