She's a perfectly normal woman of above-average attractiveness, evidently there to look sexy

But the way she can be trashed as looking like a man should show people just how ruthless society is now as regards how a woman 'should' look - nothing less than perfection of a very specific kind is good enough

What of the perfection of the men doing the judging though? - that should be focused on as well in my opinion

Are they perfect looking?

No they are not

Do we get to pick their looks apart and make fun of their lack of xyz characteristics of perfection?

Funnily enough it rarely happens

Why is that?

There's a glaring inconsistency that is very apparent to me in how male and female appearances are discussed

Men can look how they like but woe betide the woman who doesn't look perfect

she has a square jawline that could appear masculine to some people (try googling it and you'll see that many people think along similar lines). i think maybe these things are just opinion for the most part. perhaps some people think that whoever they find attractive is feminine-looking and whoever they find unattractive is masculine-looking.

But, in terms of what men want: yes, we do very much enjoy it when a woman grinds her butt against our sausages.

judo-flip?

She has her arm around his neck, and her butt positioned to serve as a fulcrum. One quick snap forward and over he goes.

Judo doesn't seem so popular any more--most of the kids are doing karate these days.

If THAT considered unfeminine then hell...more than half of women would be so.

I think she would easily be seen as hot by plenty of men, not unfeminine at all.

casting agencies usually just do a general callout, or they look for people with a certain look if they have the budget to be picky. i've been in 2 music videos (one was rock, one was techno) but the budget was small so they were not that choosy. Pitbull's manager would have used a bigger production company that could have contacted agencies to seek out the best looking people who could dance properly and such.

yes, i like the way she was tall and in control and moved really nicely. she really looked like she could be a model or something. and she had curves in all the right places. not sure what was supposed to be unfeminine about her.

That girl you posted without makeup is she a celebrity? She looks pretty. Some women don't have to cake on the makeup to impress a guy! I have a friend who is full Korean and she doesn't wear any makeup and she has a boyfriend. Most of my female cousins on mom's side don't wear makeup or they put very little. They are still pretty. About Asians are men really that crazy over full and half Asian women, particularly Korean?? I'm probably then your average Korean and a little heavier. Most Korean women are like a Size 0 or 2. Way too thin I think. I'm a 6/8.

Yes it's Olivia Wilde.
(below is only my opinion - don't get started with nit picking it)
Men like asian women because they're known to age very well, they're more traditional, they value family and they're usually quite petite.. and it might be one of those "exotic" attractions. Personally I've always been around a lot of asian people so I never thought it was that foreign, but to the middle class white man in America I can see it being that way..

Maybe it's because she's taller than Pitbull

Probably so but the other opinion is very common ie a woman not looking 'feminine enough' or 'like a man'

I've had it enough myself so perhaps I should take some comfort that even women in music videos who are meant to be looking sexy get it as well!

Can't people see how insidious this is - we will get to the stage where no one is feminine or masculine enough as the boundaries will be impossibly narrow.

I think the porn industry and media obsession with celebrity and appearance have caused this and it's only going to get worse

It's a video. It's all fake. The people in charge of making the video find them.

I saw a lot of 'she looks like a man' (by Americans) about Rima Fakih due to her "hard features".

My opinion of what is attractive has nothing to do with media or celebrities. Olivia Wilde just happened to be there on google image search.

There are certain traits which are associated with women, because in general, men don't have those traits.. or most women do. These are the 'feminine' traits. Get over it.
No woman needs to have all these traits, there are men who are attracted to women that I am not, and vice-versa.

The women in porn are largely plastic, but the ones that have 'feminine' traits are there because that's what the majority of men find attractive. This is a chicken and egg scenario... does putting this 'type' of woman in porn make men change their perception of what is 'feminine', or are these women already seen as 'feminine' and that's what the viewers want?

There are so many different kinds of porn, if anything I think it proves that there is someone out there who finds every woman attractive. (BBW, White girls, black girls, asian girls, diaper girls, furry girls, nerdy girls, hairy girls, ugly girls, college girls, girls who left college but are thinking about going back..)

It's 2013, are we still taking the opinion of the American majority seriously?
I think she's pretty and feminine, and I'm usually not into indian girls.

It's a cycle: Women with certain traits are already seen as feminine and those are more accepted to the porn industry, then with time, little by little, these traits were being emphasized/enhanced/exaggerated to attract more male viewers, which is in return altering the view of younger viewers.

And voila!!
