I have a few ideas:

1) When creating a new account, deter all users with a warning of less forgiving "code of rules"/morals and proportional punishment. In addition (IDK if that already exists, but) up the minimum age of signing up to 16 or so unless parent permission.

2) P&R is pretty much bashing/arguing/flaming hell because that's the whole idea of the forum, lol. This is autism forum and not politics forum though people can get heat up pretty easily because after all people are people (no different than NTs). I believe the best solution is to simply delete that forum but since the whole flaming is what attracts alot of people that will never happen. Just warn users not up to entering the lion's den and before anyone commits a post he should get a pop up of like "are you sure your post don't contain harmful content" and all. All the others can bully each other to death I guess.

3) Is there such thing like blocking one's IP? if a flamer/troll's account is removed in order for him/her to create another account you can block his IP or something.

Just my 2 cents.

Again the PPR is misrepresented. There are some extremely robust argument on the PPR sure, and there are also some really valuable discussions going on.

Those not accustomed to that section might form the impression it is all flaming. This isn't really the case for the most part. There is some silly party politcal stuff sure, but for the most part it is about discussing ideas based on merit.

Btw the reason for forums exiting according to alex is based on how popular they are as subjects. PPR is one of the most popular sections of the site. It is not everyone's cup of tea, but that is fine.

There is literally no one in my offline life who wants to discuss religion and philosophy. There are also none who want to discuss politics, other than to tell me that Democrats or Republicans are evil. I love PPR. Even when I don't visit it for a while, it's good to know there's somewhere I can discuss random musings on the deeper issues of life. Plus, I almost always learn something there.

^Yeah, and compared to a lot of other forums, while PPR is considered WP's 'warzone' of some sorts, it's really not that bad, and on plenty of N.T. sites I see far more heavyness and flaming.

Compare youtube political videos and channels and then PPR will look relatively mild and civil.

Younger users are already a minority here, and additionally only a minority within that minority have actually caused any major issues.

Aside from say 1 or 2, the few minuscule of users under 18 here are fine...

There's someone claiming to be a 12 year old boy who's begun posting in the Women's Forum. That just doesn't seem right. Makes me wonder where his parents are.

The age seems a little suspect. That's why I wrote the comment that I did about his age, which bizarrely was removed as a personal attack (yet OOM's diatribes, quite obviously aimed at certain members, were left to remain...?) Anyway this same poster called his mother a b***h in another thread and insinuated that he wouldn't care if she died.

I really don't understand some of the mod's decisions here. I must interpret the rules far differently than they do, and I'd like to see some clearer examples of what is or is not allowed here.

I've had some pretty innocuous stuff I wrote removed, and some pretty nasty comments aimed at me left standing. My impression is that quite a few people have had similar experiences. I think sometimes squeaky wheels get greased, and there are a few wheels that squeak incessantly.

WP has always been an all-inclusive space with a section for nearly everyone.

There are already two entire sections dedicated to youngsters - Kidzone and Adolescent.

Both are relatively empty ghost towns compared to most of the other forums, so to remove younger users would be almost pointless.

There was more teens than there are now a few years back, but they either grew up, lost interest, or both.

But I understand if one would feel uncomfortable with a 12 year old boy commenting in Women's Discussion.

Perhaps instead of banning people under 16 entirely, why not do what Adult Autism Issues has done and make some sections only for people 16 or over?

Sections I recommend this happening to would be Women's Discussion and In-Depth Adult-Life Discussion.

Otherwise I see no reason to up the age limits when most forums similar to this have a minimum age of 12/13 years.
