why does her being happy effect you?

That was going to be my question. Maybe he sees it my happiness as "rubbing it in" but if happiness offends him, why enter a topic called "Happy Thread" in the first place? :/

yeah it seems no one on this forum is allowed to be happy, everyone has to be unhappy because a few dicks feel that's how it should be cause "they'll never get a girlfriend" so no one else is allowed to have one

Toad-don't stick your nose in other people's lives, worry about yourself and not random people here, ass

Pretty much. A lot of the happy people leave because they have their issues resolved and/or don't want to have their good vibes trashed. I'm still here because I like it here. :)

I had my turn a year ago, and I screwed it up... As much as i have a problem with how bubbly erisad has become as of late, I pray she can at least hold on to what she has here...

You should be happy for Erisad, I am. Aside from being so clingy that you can teach Saran Wrap a thing or two, you have to raise your market value. Do you want to raise your market value?

So what did this ex-girlfriend look like anyway on a scale of 0 to 10? I'm very curious. A description will suffice...

Erisad,

Reminds me of the Morrissey song "We hate it when our friends become successful"...

I honestly think Toad needs medication and a swift and heavy boot to the ass.

The whole "having a problem with you being bubbly" really pissed me off. I no longer have any sympathy for him since he obviously feeds off of misery (his own and that of others).

So much of his identity seems to revolve around being this martyred victim and when he says someone who WAS in a similar spot as him, he resents it when they move out of the rut that he is in.

I have a really lovely boyfriend and some totally lovely friends and they are all amazing and fabulous.

*bringing back the positivity*

... and if flirting is cheating then my boyfriend and I have been cheating on eachother regularly for the whole of our relationship... so I'm going to vote that it's not.

aside: RICKY5 - i don't think anyone wants everyone else to be miserable. i think that there is actually a genuine concern because when a person accelerates from 0 to 100 in 4 seconds, there is a great potential to crash and burn. people supported those users when they were very down and depressed, and now they are concerned about the durability of the happiness. nobody wishes ill on anyone else. your statement fails to really understand the underlying feelings and motivations behind ToS's (ir other poster's) sentiments.

on-topic - my husband seeks out miniature and mutantly large things for me to enjoy, like teeny-tiny (and giant) mandarin oranges.
