I think a lot of times there isn't a cut-and-dry answer.

Or they just don't want to cause a fuss or get awkward or embarassed by saying why.
Rejection isn't easy, but you got to follow your heart.

The one I hated the most was this one woman I asked out she said no which is okay but she said because she wanted to go out with my brother who was two years younger than me. I told him he should ask her out. Guess what she told him when he did? She said she could not go out with my brother because she wanted to go out with me.

Me: Wanna go out sometime?
Guy: No, not really.
Me: Why not?
Guy: Cause I'm not... gay.

I never ask anyone out seriously.

When I was in high school there was one jock who did not call me a fa***t or a ret*d when his buddies from the football team came around to torment me. One day durring home coming all the other guys on the football team were decorating cars and busses for some little parade they do. This one jock could not attend the pep rally because he came in late for the season. He saw me sitting alone in lunch so he sat at my table then slipped me a napkin that he pretty much had written on the note he wanted to go out with me. I wrote on the note that I was not gay then passed it back to him. He looked at the note and exploded on me saying no one would ever believe me if I told them. After that he was always the worst of the group that was picking on me. I know he is married with kids now he probably is repressing a lot of stuff and being miserable.

So basically I failed in getting her to be attracted you're saying?

(no, I don't mean you guys, that was the rejection line, also, my first rejection...)

Oh and I almost forgot... this doesn't really count as a rejection or breakup line because it was a while after I got dumped, but I got a "10 things I hate about you" list from my ex, except it evolved into 17 things, basically all saying that I was boring and creepy...

Well.....at least you got some feedback.

"eww... gross"

and of course the classic "laugh and walk away" move.

Why can't people just say "no, thanks" and leave it at that? is that really to much to ask?

I am 5'6, almost 5'7, I walked into a bar in washington dc and I was approaching a girl I knew, before I even completed my first sentence she put her hand in front of my forhead and said "too short, go away". :(

About a dozen insulting responses came to my mind. Were you a good person and let it go or did you throw something back at her? I don't think I could've resisted saying, "Oh... too b*tchy, gladly leaving!"

I think a more suited one would be "Don't flatter yourself. I just wanted to say hi because I know you"

Too many girls think they're gods gift to men and all the men want them, its not the case.

Gawd, I hate that!

The worst part is that it's usually someone that's so gross you wouldn't touch them with someone else's thingy.

Get over yourself already...

In high school:

Me: Do you want to be my boyfriend?
Him: I'm too old for you

We were only nine months apart but he was 18 and I was 17. I guess I gave him his paypack unintentionally by telling him I didn't want him for sex, I want a boyfriend. I didn't even pick up he was rejecting me so I thought he didn't want to be my boyfriend because he thought he was too old just because he was 18 and I was still under age and then I thought maybe he thinks I want sex so I told him I didn't want that. Not a worst rejection but I felt left out so I had to post it.
