That's stupid IMO. You should always ask the subjects of a photo if they're OK with it being published.

If they were asked and were fine with it, then that's fine, of course.

The children look like they're too young to understand the implications and give their consent. As such, their dad has decided on their behalf, and that's his decision. Period.

This is actually quite a big issue with the new generation of kids, because their parents are putting pictures of them up all over the internet, which causes not only embarrassment when they get older, but more serious privacy issues.

Anyway, my small comment appears to be derailing the thread, so I'll stop now.

Thanks! But I was really just trying to demonstrate that overweight/obesity is actually the "norm" now...

And I might point out that it is an anonymous photo... :roll:

I suppose I should track down each person and get their permission too?
