The way I see it is that it's a great way to get rid of the anxiety of being a virgin and getting rid of that feeling of being "left out" since you are often f*****g girls who look just like the ones who rejected or "friendzoned" you when you were younger.

Obviously we are not talking about streetwalkers. That just clouds the issue.

From my experience, I never wanted to go back to trying to get a girlfriend since I could get the most rewarding part of having a girlfriend more efficiently.

Your mileage may vary but do your research and decide for yourself what you really want. It beats whining about how nobody loves you regardless.

Being a lonely virgin sucks. I've been there and would never go back. I know the frustration the embarrassment, the sadness. That lump in your throat when you see a girl you like with someone else, the sad nights and days.

This is why I tell the lonely virgins to see an escort. I've been where they are and it is beyond horrible.

I'm not anti-porn by any means, just being realistic here. I don't consider sexuality to be a moral issue so I don't see any value in "saving oneself". just my opinion though.

it's a little naive to think that a man who visits a prostitute gives up his porn and masturbation. they are not mutually exclusive, and porn viewing rates are not inversely proportionate to prostitute visitation rates.

personally, i *have* read up on the long-term effects of porn viewership, and there are no established links between porn and any of the problems you have named. sex addiction is another matter, but a sex addict could visit a prostitute, or view porn, or both (or neither).

for my part, having experienced both virgins and players... given the choice i'd always take a first-timer over a very experienced man.

It's not just the sex you are hiring. You are interacting with another person without social penalties, without inhibitions. Your perspective will change a bit when you lose your virginity. You won't be as anxious anymore.

I would have more respect for a guy that's a virgin waiting for a good relationship to happen than a guy who paid a hooker just so he wouldn't be picked on for being a virgin. :/

If I cared about proving anything I'd have thrown some links your way. I don't, and I can't be bothered picking your straw man apart, sorry. I think it was clear that I was talking about a hypothetical situation and comparing extremes. either way, my personal opinions on celibacy are not the point of this thread. the OP should do his own research. if he knows himself it will be an easy decision for him anyway. if he cares about my opinion, I say do it, and if a girl ever asks you about it, lie.

Too bad I'm not the only one telling you to stfu. I'm sure there's many other places where you can be a hypocrite and also be controversial and everyone would love it. This place is for real talk and real advice so until you have a but of either or better yet both then I recomend you try and keep quiet so you don't make yourself look dumber than you have so far

Asian women (NOT ALL OF THEM) are known for favoring stability and material security over passion and excitement. Cultural factors play a role in this phenomena.

I never really felt "left out" afterwards since the guys I saw around me often were not particularly happy with the ups and downs of their relationships, so having one never really appealed to me after I lost my virginity.

KInda helps when you are banging girls far hotter than your acquaintances girlfriends could hope to be. :twisted:

I like the regularity and affection I get "paying for it" as opposed to the ups, downs, and sideways that come with girlfriends.

Virgins who wait do just that. Nothing ever happens when you wait. For most guys, instincts tell them to go out and get laid. If instincts are not satisfied they get redirected into places less than optimal.

actually, in each of my posts you can replace "men" with "women" and I'll probably still agree with what I wrote there.

OP, If you are that desperate for sex, then do it. maybe Ricky is right that it might remove the virginity vibe (whatever it is, I don't believe in vibes but ....whatever ...) and give you an easy mean to practice.
