Not on a pedestal or being white knighted.

Being put on a pedestal from time to time because of character is fine. And both sexes sometimes need the white knight. The problem is, when it's done consistantly simply because of what type of plumbing the other has.

that's reasonable. both genders are simply human and should be treated as such, but individual people sometimes need a boost or someone to defend them. i find a person who stands up for others to be quite sexy.

There's a difference between someone that stands up to an injustice and someone that exploits or takes advantage of the attention or kindness they receive from others.

i think people don't exactly put that into perspective. i've seen men accused of being "white knights" on the board when all they are doing is arguing alongside women. they didn't do anything to "exploit" women - all they did was disagree with a fellow male.

Thats bery simple:

Males online are supposed to stick together.

If by any chance one of them disagrees with the others/tries to help females when the others are attacking them this member must have some sort of motivation and we all know males can only be motivated by sex right?

Therefore its perfectly ok to accuse any male that supports a woman when the rest of them arent of being a white knight and comparing this other males attitudes to the ones of the bullies they claim to hate would be nonsense.

^^^^hahahaha well done, spongy. women can be quite mean to each other when one of them agrees with males instead of females on the board, so i can see a parallel there.

I would never have thought of that.

The backstory is simple. We had been dating the year prior and she dumped me and lied to my face about dating another guy afterwards. A year later she wants to be friends which I am ok with, but saying that she had not gotten any in a while stated that she was looking for something else from me. I simply turned her down, but unaware that I would have hurt her feelings and didn't care either considering that she played me for a fool the year prior. So yeah, it was a jerk move thinking about it now since I wanted the satisfaction of making her feel rejected. If things were kept strictly platonic, I don't think I would have ever done this.

Yes, the same one I've got. It's got nothing to do with 'reading ' peoples' body language etc - it's to do with being able to see the moral character of a person and this is displayed by the type of language they use and things they say. The trouble is, people often want to associate with the so-called 'cool' people and these can often be the very people who are often morally bankrupt. But hey they're cool and popular so that's ok. So when it turns out they are off the scale nasty I'm never surprised and amazed that others are when it will have been plain to see to anyone not blinded by image and coolness quotient (as most seem to be, whether they have Asperger's or not).
