I'm suprised that so many people don't know there's a painless and peaceful way to go. I'm pretty suprised I didn't think of a better way when I tried to jump through the ice.

Die, usually. Unless they're lucky to have sent in a special Armed Response Unit first, but the average cop is totally unarmed apart from a baton. Firearms are much less widely available here so it hasn't become a serious issue....yet.

They don't look too tough, I could beat them up with my flashlight.

Eventually the pressure to routinely arm them will become overwhelming, as everytime one of them gets pwned, uhm, gunned down in the line of duty, it becomes national frontpage news and a big fuss is made about it.

Actually I carry a 6D Mag in my backpack, from what I understand it's illegal in some cities because it's considered a baton.
