I guess by some definitions here, 1.

I've only been on 4 first dates lately, and thus far I've never gotten past the 'friends' zone.

Relationship-wise: 6 or 7 times

Going-out-and-doing-something-wise: countless times(I think it'a a safe bet to say two dozen though.)

I might have a date next week with a 37-year-old NT woman, but I am not sure.

Tim

1.5?

(Considering the online one to be half, for reasons I won't go into.)

Not that I expected different answers to this thread, but seeing all these low numbers really makes me sad. :(

I've never been on a date myself. What I do instead...is that if I like someone, I dream that we hit it off and fall in love, spend the rest of our lives together and I construct a fantasy future for the two of us. And I leave it at that. It's very unsatisfying though and I always cry about it.

I know its kind of weird but it provides temporary relief from the depression I get when I can't initiate a relationship...*sigh*

Does anyone else dream or fantasize about what could be?

Continuously  I used to do that a lot, but I'm forcing myself out of it, because I found it to be quite improductive. But yeah, it's a bit surprising to see those low numbers, I thought I was doing really bad but it's come to be quite the reverse ^^¡
Anyway, you're still young, keep it up and just try dating once, and see what happens. And if you succeed, tell me how you did it

I had what I would call a "failed experiment" for three weeks. Of course, if she had bothered to post a picture of herself on her profile, I wouldn't have given her the time of day.

One day, she e-mailed me and asked how I viewed the relationship and I told her it was my first relationship and that it was a step up for me for my personal growth and she misinterpreted to mean that I was using her. So I gave her the silent treatment for two weeks and then she left me a message saying she hated my guts. This, after I took her to a hockey game and a movie. Oh well, she was lucky she got three weeks from me.

I've always been skeptical/suspicious of women to begin with because I think most of the ones I see on date sites and in the outside world come across as materialistic and promiscuous to me. They also want to raise families one day and I have no intentions of raising kids because I don't have any parenting skills. If I have to live a life of celibacy because I can't live up to their expectations, so be it. At least I won't have to give away half of what I own when the inevitable divorce comes along.

I never heard from the woman again, so I am assuming it's one of those little NT mind games. So now, my dating search is once again limited to other Aspies.

Don't bother with NT women.
