What does it mean that the social hierarchy is
inherent in all human interactions? That people notice each other’s stations in life (i.e. whether they are rich or poor or ...)? Or, that you alter your behavior based upon another’s station in life (i.e. you “suck up” to someone who is a rung above you, so you can become included in the next higher rung)? The entire concept of social hierarchy is silly to me. As a former mentor of mine said, “that other guy puts his pants on the same way as you do, one leg at a time”.

In fact the easiest and most effective way is to display social confidence and emotional vulnerability - which in a nutshell is being willing to be yourself, and as you said, act in a completely genuine way.
I am so glad that I don't worry about "being attractive" to others. The last thing I would want to worry about is whether I am properly displaying "social confidence".
Am I the only person thinking, “and they call
us weird”? To me, these people you are referring sound quite insecure.
