Yeah, it's like, who pays first? If she pays first for all she knows I could take the money and run, along with taking her iPhone or if she pays after I fix it, then either she could refuse to pay (but then I don't give the fixed iPhone until she pays, $90 is still cheaper than her buying a whole new iPhone), she makes up an excuse not to pay (more likely, she could claim to be poor or say she'll pay me back later) or I could fail in my attempt to fix her iPhone 6 and then after I've gotten it fixed at a shop to cover up my failure I'm left with a $90 extra screen that I'm not using (unless I tell the guy in the shop to use that screen).

Where is your self dignity?

Scammer or not, don't allow anyone to take you for a fool.

It's complecated even if it's not a scam. Perhaps just tell her you need to know someone better before helping out like that?

That way if it's a scam she won't bother putting in the effort

Yes, it bothers me that she doesn't know me well enough to let me buy her dinner but she thinks we know each other well enough to trust each other with $90.

However, she hasn't contacted me since. Maybe she's not into me.
