And there's the dilemma. I would imagine over my life, if I were courageous enough, and single, and walked up to every woman I saw who I thought was attractive and told her so in a non-creepy way, many woman would be receptive to it. But it's a difficult thing to have to be the approacher. Very scary when you have self esteem issues and don't communicate well with strangers. Especially attractive ones. I've literally asked one random girl ever out on a date, and she said yes, but blew me off. I've met other people through other ways, but to approach a stranger is hard. For me at least. Terrifying actually. And I'm not really a "timid" person.
I can relate to this. I find it much easier if I can spend time with someone doing activities, and get to know each other just as people first. Then there are no expectations and you don't have worry about being nervous, because you potentially grow closer rather than having to approach out of the blue. I love relationships, but hate "dating"
So this approach makes sense to me.
