Nothing wrong with it. It's way easier for socially awkward types. Also easier for people who want to actually get to know someone instead of shopping at the meat market. I met my wife/ex on a dating site and we were together over 12 years.

I'm sure there are plenty of women who were never pursued because there are a relatively small percentage of guys who are bold enough to just approach women confidently and try to talk with them. My initial fear, if I were to approach a stranger, would be that I would easily be rejected. In my mind, if I find someone to be attractive, there's very little chance they find me so. And I think many guys think like that. And the ones that don't are usually the overconfident as*holes.

Damn who are all these women being persued by loads of guys? I'm jealous hehehe. I'm being perused by no one :'(

You would be surprised. They're just too shy to say anything.

Then how are women supposed to know?

And there's the dilemma. I would imagine over my life, if I were courageous enough, and single, and walked up to every woman I saw who I thought was attractive and told her so in a non-creepy way, many woman would be receptive to it. But it's a difficult thing to have to be the approacher. Very scary when you have self esteem issues and don't communicate well with strangers. Especially attractive ones. I've literally asked one random girl ever out on a date, and she said yes, but blew me off. I've met other people through other ways, but to approach a stranger is hard. For me at least. Terrifying actually. And I'm not really a "timid" person.

I can relate to this. I find it much easier if I can spend time with someone doing activities, and get to know each other just as people first. Then there are no expectations and you don't have worry about being nervous, because you potentially grow closer rather than having to approach out of the blue. I love relationships, but hate "dating" :) So this approach makes sense to me.

Yeah, but what you suggest is unreasonable. Your method of dating for women means that they shouldn't complain and either accept being alone or be in an unhappy relationship.

That's horrible.

Yeah, but how many guys didn't get a girl friend that way?

It would be hard to give an exact number, point is though for every female who finds a boyfriend online a guy has also found a girlfriend.

Yes, but also for every lottery win there's a ticket, but it doesn't mean that you will win a lottery if you buy one. :D

But you never have a chance of winning if you don't buy a ticket.

Online dating works for some people (including men) and everytime you convince someone to not use online dating they are missing out on the chance to meet someone
