Aspie males can definitely get girlfriends.

I have had two relationships in the past.

I am single and looking at the moment. But while I can easily find *somebody*, I want to be with someone who I easily connect with, and who I can picture spending the rest of my life with.

Tim

I'm capable of it but I try to avoid it and whenever I do do it, unless it's my mum, I screw it up. :?

Roger…it sounds like it’d be easier for you to try and associate with people from school or whatever, and get comfortable with just conversing to people in areas of your interest; rather than jumping into the deep end of romance.... Unless this is too hard for you also.... :?

I find that hard too, but at least with university there's a chance of me being able to improve at things like that eventually. I'll try and be brave when I go back to uni, I'll aim to talk to people more.
How come you called me Roger by the way? lol I'm not bothered or anything, I was just wondering. :)

I know I seem to have problems with dating. My personal hygiene is top notch though,I do let my hair go a little too long without the haircut but I'm getting better at keeping it short.I used to date alot in highschool but I haven't had a girlfriend in about 8 years. It seems the more attracted I am to a woman the more I avert eye contact, ignore, and shutdown. Then later when I think about it,there is an overwhelming sadness.Anyone relate?
