So recently started working somewhere New and my coworker who is 23 (5 years younger than me) seems to really like me. He laughs and smiles a lot, said multiple times that he enjoy my company a lot, we get on really well and he said maybe we should start our own business in the future. I really like him too but i have no idea if it's romantically or not. I also don't understand flirting since i've never had a relationship and the age gap stresses me a lot also he is my coworker. Tbh i also don't understand why men should always be older in a relationship, my parents also have a 6 year gap but my dad is older.
I have no idea how to approach this situation now and i'm obsessing over it :(

Padme Amidala was 10 years older than Anakin Skywalker, so being older isn't an issue.

You could ask him out - and just because you are going on dates, doesn't mean you're going steady in a relationship, unless that's what you both want.

Relax and enjoy your life. :D

I don't think Padme and Anakin is a good example but 23 and 28 isn't a problem

I've been the "younger guy" in relationships for more than half my life. No-one cared. And if anyone had even gotten as far as even opening their mouth on the topic, they would have quickly regretted it.

It's a glitch in the "age" category.

There are people who are thousands of years old, too.

You are good, it’s ok if you a little older. Like the saying goes ‘whatever the heart wants’ you can’t deny it. The only way it will be bad if he is a teenager. You are both adults, GO FOR IT! My dad was 7 years older than my mom, they been married for 20 years.

Thank you so much guys, tbh i don't know if i really like him but we're good friends regardless. He even says he wants to start a business with me in the future which is a great confidence boost to me. I have relaxed a bit thanks to your replies.

I don't think age is too muchnof an issue unless it is a great difference, and then it depends on the people I guess. One sometimes hears of 20 year olds marrying 80 year olds. I think a few years is fine. And it is all up to the individuals. Not up to anyone else. Love comes first.

Funny thing about mandatory forms on the internet. They end up saying a lot of things. :)
