You could focus on losing some weight, but don't go too quickly, and also do muscle-building workouts at the same time. This will give you a leaner look. 180 would be an okay weight for your height, but only if you lift weights/work-out or are somehow naturally muscular. People can be awfully critical of superficialities, and taking your shirt off is like shining a spotlight on yourself and saying "take a look at this everyone". Alternatively, you can get close to women without taking your shirt off...and then at the last minute either let them see what you look like, or just tell them you're more comfortable leaving the shirt on (and you can even have sex with the shirt on). Most likely at that point it won't matter much either way. That has been my experience. But it does help to be in your best possible shape, shirt on or off. No one is perfect but if you're really trying hard and doing your best, it will show, and you'll win points, and the imperfections will be small enough to not matter.

I have never been in a social situation where someone has taken their shirt off in public.
True, I don't get out much, but sheeh! 8O

Easy solution.
Get waxed or shaved.
Or don't take your shirt off.
Problem solved. 8)

You missed the context.
This was in a bar venue, I believe.
Why would someone take their shirt off there?

Could be. Women are very different if it comes to this.

do you think me being 5ft7 1/2 might be why some women view my body unattractive?

Many women are after tall guys but she wouldn't have call you gross because of this. Very thin or very thick together with lots of body hair is a no go for some women. It's quite the same as lots of hairs on the legs of a girl for some guys.

what do you mean very thick or very thin?

A lot of guys shave. I took a part-time job at a co-ed gym before Covid-19 struck, and I'd swear the men shaved as much as the women because I had to clean out the drain traps and it was almost impossible to do. So, a sign went up that if anyone was caught shaving in the showers, they'd get a fine. Jamesy, are you the only one of your pack of friends who receives mean comments? When I was a young woman, my friends ( group of 3 called the Trinity) were well aware of my physical flaws and tended to pull me into situations where my physical flaws were exposed - for example, they "insisted" I go with them to "this really fun nightclub" but "forgot" to tell me it was wet t-shirt night - I'm not that endowned - so a comparison was made between them and me. I always got insulted by guys and my friends were put on pedastuls. Thus, I was made the runt of the litter. Some people can't feel like winners unless they designate a loser. Maybe you need new friends? I don't know?? :? One of them would always say," Strange that "my name" never gets any guys. I was the LAST to get married and have children - they made sure of that. In your case, they are assuring that you will not get laid. In my case, it was assured that I would not get a boyfriend. The genders have different agendas. Then again, what the hell do I know? but it's worth thinking about.

Ask those "ladies" this, "How would you like to shave it off for me back at my place, you sexy temptresses?" Take more control of the situation. Don't insult them, just process what is being said to you, then take control. Get your head to a point that no matter what is said to you, you can top it without being mean. Also, are you wearing a mask, Covid-19 is still out there without a vaccine in sight. A heavy load of "viral load" can actually kill you. Yea,yea, you said it before, I sound like your mum - BUT SOMEBODY HAS TO TELL YOU!! ! I'm lookin' out for her boy.

In height I am only 5ft7 1/2 so I can’t change that about myself but what aspects of our bodies can we change or improve?

How nice of her. <sarcasm>

What sort of ugly personality would say something like that?
How old was she?
Only a young person would say something like that, surely.

"Young and dumb", as they say. ;)

Nope not that young she is 46

46 and hanging out at a party? Say, "How dare you! YOU EPOXIED OLD TART!!" "Your body hasn't spit out a fresh egg since 1990!" Learn to say these things but gaslight them if they get angry. I wish I could travel with you in invisible form just to help you answer these cows. By your posts, you remind me of my younger son. He moved out to get away so now I'm focusing on you but I'll stop. I promise.

So first of all we don't know if she was sincere. Maybe she was joking. Maybe she was teasing you. Second, it's just 1 women. It's not like you showed your body to 100 women and all of them said your body looks gross.
The things you worry about your body it seems are:
-Your Height
-Your Body Hair
-Your Fat

So as you said, you can't change your height. But of course, that's not the end of the story, because it's hard to just forget about the things that bother you but you can't change, it would be nice to have this button that could do that.
And I'm struggling with height too. It would be a lie to just not care about this.
Just realize there is no reason to put any effort into changing something you can't. Put all your effort on the rest. You can shave your body hair if that bothers you (again don't focus on just 1 woman not liking it, there are a lot of women who are into men with body hair)
Next is your fat. At 160 pounds you're not really too heavy. The problem is probably your fat to muscle ratio. So start lifting. It also boosts self confidence as a bonus.

Just use a walkie-talkie/transmitter with an earpiece receiver.

Maybe you should've just sat on hers. Did you find this woman attractive? I don't know how old you are really but she's kind of an "older tart-type". Maybe this is a good thing?? for a good time??? I remember seeing your pic once. I think? like a younger version of Colin Hay (Men At Work) Posters may be thinking what am I doing talking about this being so old myself. I do this because when I was young and single, the whole dating scene was very confusing. It's as if some things I experienced never really got resolved mentally. I still wonder "why" about lots of things. Dating was the most difficult thing I ever experienced in my whole life. When I met my husband, everything was so incredibly understandable and easy. Like the proper key opening a door. I always had love to give but nobody wanted it. It really makes a BIG difference when they want you - no matter what you look like.
