my former boyfriend is a jackass, user, and abusive. he said he loved me then tried to set me up with one of his friends and said he never considered me his girlfriend. needless to say, i left him that day

Sunshower - it's comedic, a group called 'Trout Fishing in America' performs it. The conformity in relationships has never been comfortable for me... it's nice to have found someone to compromise with - NOT the person that I would dedicate that song to, ever.

Ah I see. :) I agree about the conformity in relationships, I see it in my parents relationship (where my mum has 100% of the decision making power and control) and I think it's very unjust.

If I ever have a long term relationship or marriage I'd like for us to be equals in that partnership. On the other hand, that also means none of that old fashioned male "head of the house" thing either.

You go girl! One thing I learned is life is to short to be miserable.
