Last date was of April 2 years ago. He wanted to get back with me but it never worked out, I just got so sick of him tagging along with me like a siamese twin...I feel bad about it now cause I didn't know much about AS then. :(

Last Monday, with a very rich but much older man (surprise!). It was just OK. Had drinks at his house, which is ginormous and reminds me a bit of the house in Sunset Boulevard, then we went to a really fancy Italian restaurant (I ate escargots followed by a huge seafood plate, yum), then to a club where he wanted to hear me sing karaoke. That part was more fun, I sang some songs in French.

Last February, I went out with a co-worker on 2 different occasions during our 30 minute lunch break. That was only because she asked me out. And I made no attempts to connect on any grounds or start conversations about anything. Nothing ever came of those two occasions and that was the end of it.

Does that count?

Last night dancing (w/ lessons) and a movie. Was a lot of fun, neither of us tried to impress each other and just focused on having a good time. Wouldn't mind doing something like that again.

Yes, they do. California's been one of the first US states to legalise it (not the very first one though, I believe Massachusetts already had it legalised?). It was subject to heavy controversy but the law was passed in the end.

I am straight myself but heavily support gay marriage. Marriage is a certificate of love and love should know no gender. Thus marriage should be open to anyone, both straight people and homosexual people.

PS: in some states it is legal to marry your pet. There was a guy who married a cow not so long ago. To think this is possible while gay marriage is still forbidden in that state, is simply repulsive.

I am of the same opinion. I was more suggesting that I was going to move to California and marry michel :P

Yeah, I know that zoophilia is legal in Vegas because I saw a girl on myspace once takling about how she lived in a four-way relationship... with her three dogs. And it was legal. And people had tried to call the cops on her before, but couldn't because it was legal in her state.

Uh, define "date", please?

Last night, I met my boyfriend at a venue where I played. Then he took me to a fancy bar down the street. There, we had a couple of fancy beers. Then we went back to his place, cooked and ate some potatoes, and went to bed. Does that count?

Everyone is playing the fool now and pretending to not know what date means including native English speakers, how funny. Date is a stage before the relationship, date means meeting a potential mate. You don't date your bf since you are already in relationship with him , you hang out with your bf and do stuff with him.

What is a date for me may not necessarily be a date for her. Or vice versa. I mean, people go out all the time with other people, very often as just good friends and now and then you have other intentions. Unless you explicitly know each others intentions and share them (as in "are we officially dating or am I meeting you a only a friend?" but asking that sounds a bit odd) it could be a blurred definition for the word "date". I could invite a girl out with the exact intention of seducing her, while she may just feel like a chat and nothing more ; to me it would be a date somehow, to her it wouldn't be.

Well, at least that's how I see it. A date is the phase before the relationship, so often you simply don't know each others feelings yet. So difficult to say then if both are meeting with a date intention. You cannot ask her straight away, can you?

In my native Belgium is it legal as in: the lawmaker simply did not think about the existance when creating the laws. And somehow they never removed it out of the lawbook even when people knew it happened. It was too much a taboo to talk about it and such taboo as well to debate it in the parliament.

Belgium was the first EU country to jail some guy for bestiality though. He had sex with about 150 dogs while working as volunteer in a dog asylum :? He could not be sentenced for the act itself because there is no law against it, but he was stupid enough to film his acts and upload them to his website, so they jailed him for breaking the laws forbidding indecent exposure. The case brought bestiality into the limelight and started the debate on making it illegal but as far as I know it has not happened yet.

A Texan politician once said he wanted anal sex to be illegal as it was "sinful" but he said, when asked, that his party had no specific view against bestiality :?

Hmm, we're going offtopic. And opening a bestiality topic would be a bit gross, so maybe it's better to just not think about this gross act...

On a football forum where I post (or soccer if you prefer to call it so) someone started a bestiality topic. You don't want to know what freaky stuff some people do. Nah, moving on indeed.

I am still up to know the exact definition of a date though. If I invite a girl for a drink hoping she may be nice enough for more than just friendship, but she does not know that intention, is that a date?

If you invite a girl for a drink, she knows the intention. Whether or not it was a date is decided after the fact based on how much she liked you.
