So it's against the rules to cite social trends that result in different average experiences for men and women?

So are you saying you think the typical experience with online dating for men is similar to that of women?

Yes, I am.

This does not need to be about gender at all. Why can’t people just talk about their struggles without bringing gender into it?

Otherwise, it belittles (and discriminates against) the struggles experienced by many other people.

It’s not cool.

Yes. Even simply knowing it is crimethink, which is doubleplusungood. The Ministry of Love is on their way to arrest you.

Then with all due respect, you're either ignorant or delusional. I think even most women here would acknowledge that the typical online dating experiences for men and women are considerably different.

Then we’re at an impasse.

I think you are failing to recognize the struggles of women here because it does not fit in to your worldview. This sort of issue is called confirmation bias.

There are entire forums dedicated to the brand of ideology that you seem to be in favor of.

It doesn't really matter which gender "has it easier."

Just because women, in general, "have it easier"-----doesn't mean that a particular woman "has it easier," or that a particular man doesn't "have it easier."

It's counterproductive to think in generalities. It's more productive to emphasize individual experience.

I've known women who have had a similar "dating experience" to me. I've known men who have had a different "dating experience" to me.

Let's say this again, louder for the people in the back.

I'm not failing to recognise anything. I just haven't specifically brought them up because they haven't been relevant to what I'm trying to say.

But even with what I was talking about with typically different online dating experiences between the genders, part of that is that women get sent more inappropriate messages and unsolicited nude photos. I could have mentioned that before, but that has nothing to do with men generally having a harder time finding women who will have sex with them than vice versa.

I think you're projecting hard here. You're the one who seems incapable of recognising where men specifically tend to struggle in dating compared to women.

I'm saying that many men AND women, especially those who are on the spectrum, find dating difficult.

This is not about gender, and once again, it's against the rules to make claims that one gender has it easier.

Dude, drop it! I got issued warnings when I argued about dating struggles for men. You might too.

I'm not saying that one gender has dating wholistically easier over the other. I'm saying that there are trends that lead to typically disparate experiences for the genders.

And I'm saying that the experiences aren't as disparate as you think. There are plenty of women who struggle to find partners.

You do not need to make this about gender.

What makes you so sure that there's a similar number of women who can't find someone willing to date or have sex with them as there are men?

This topic has been done to death and this angle is constantly overemphasized. All that does is antagonize the women here who struggle just as badly. The topic has been retired and you'll just get the thread shutdown if you persist.

She said plenty, not similar numbers.

What makes you so sure that there isn't?

So far, you are basing your opinion on "social experiments" and personal observation. Both of those things are prone to bias and/or an incomplete picture.

Perhaps what you think you see going on on Tinder is not the whole story.

It does antagonize the women who struggle here and make them less likely to contribute and, in turn, less likely to get support.

This is why we have and need specific forum rules.
