Didn't watch, but there's no Japanese people where I live. Like I think there's maybe 4000 total in the entire state iirc? And most of those Japanese people simply live here and commute to NYC. Anyway, Japanese look more "Aryan" or white to me, imo, because the native Ainu were basically white people and not Mongoloid. But moot point because no Japanese people where I live. One Vietnamese friend I had was surprised that I knew he was Vietnamese right off the bat, when other people were asking him if he was Chinese or Japanese. Everyone was guessing his ethnicity and I was just like "Yeah, you're Vietnamese, right?" Vietnamese are probably the most prevalent Asians here.
Just as I said, the conclusion I came to from this thread and thinking was that it's nothing to do with Asian cultural values or anything. It's just more Asians here tend to be rich and successful here, as my state is more rich and successful. So the white people in this state are about as snobby, but I wondered if the reason was cultural or some misunderstanding regarding the Asians being basically snobby and not wanting to talk to me.
