I tried to date a girl with AS, she was the most unpleasant person I'd ever dealt with
just cause you got the same illness don't mean there is love in the air

No kidding! Most people I've met that had Bipolar too were unbearable.

AGREED. could someone please start a thread that celebrates aspie success with women? cuz i refuse to believe that no aspie men are ever successful in dating.

You know, I started a thread like that a while back, I got flamed to a crisp by some regulars in this forum who though I was "taunting them with what they couldn't have"... :?

Coincidentally that was about the same time I posted my online dating guide, it got a similar response and a lot of hate directed my way.

there is a lot of people here who feel women should bow down to them and f**k them for merely existing and having AS
they're losers, threw and threw

I've met a few people like that. Definitely not fun to be around.
When I said that it was better for people with Asperger's to establish a relationship with other people with Asperger's than with an NT person because they would understand each other better, that was just my opinion, and I was basing my response on personal experience. I know that even people with Asperger's don't always get along with other people with Asperger's. Sometimes, my boyfriend and I don't always get along, either. No relationship is perfect. I just meant that a relationship between two people with Asperger's might be better than a relationship between a person with Asperger's and an NT person, because they both have the disorder, and therefore both experience the same difficulties in socializing. Plus, a person with Asperger's doesn't have to explain the disorder to another person with Asperger's like they would with an NT person, because they both have it. Again, like I said before, I never told any of the guys I went out with that I have it, because they wouldn't have understood. That, and we only went out a couple of times, because there was never a mutual attraction, but that's not the point. The point is, in an Asperger relationship, there is no pressure to have to try explain yourself, and to try to make the other person understand why you are the way you are. Do you see what I'm saying? I'm sorry if I was not clear.
yeah, put me off dating aspies for awhile lol (that and I can't find any)
but I am not rigid in the sense I think they will love be because "we're the same illness"
like many men here seem to think

Btw, Willard doesn't even have Aspergers. A guy that's a radio DJ at 18 and sleeps with his callers doesn't have AS, plain and simple. Why he thinks he's the spokesperson of the forum is beyond me, and I'm not the only one who thinks this.

And going on craiglist isn't good advice, sorry. I'm not looking for a fat ethnic woman anyway.

And I personally haven't given up on dating...just put love on hold. I'm capable, due to slightly above average looks and ability to temporarily "fake it" of getting dates, but I'm talking about real, lasting relationships. Like I've said, though, as you get older, women become less picky and less judgmental over minute differences, but that doesn't do the posters on this forum any good who are in their teens or 20s and complain about not having a life partner.

WTF is your problem? If you were a chick, I would tell you to get the sand out of your vagina.
