That's kinda personal. Maybe you want to PM him that question?

Thanks for the sentiment, but I've actually discussed it on WP before.

My wife divorced me about 5 years ago to be with her lover, a married neighbor; I move out; lover disappears; we attempt to reconcile; move in together (still legally divorced); 3 years pass; things deteriorate; I decide to move out 1.5 years ago; here I am today.

To hyperlexian and wefunction.

As I have said multiple times, the laws are made in such a way to be completely fair, but (and this is the part that I am emphasizing) The precedent has been set in a way that the written law can almost be ignored.

And to wefunction alone.

trust me honey, you have never heard a personal attack from me. I dont dislike you at all and i have to hate someone a lot to hand out personal attacks like you did on your post not just to me but to a friend of my parents. Unless you want to see a real personal attack from me.

A dozen things about this interaction with you:

1. Don't call me "honey"
2. Your perspective is way off
3. It is your choice how you act and I don't take responsibility for that.
4. You're wrong
5. If you'd read hyperlexian's references, you would've seen what the precedent really is.
6. You're wrong
7. The written law is not "ignored" in any circumstances
8. Don't threaten me.
9. Threatening me, calling me "honey" when I am not your honey, and laughing at me with a "rofl" while making fun of me for what I write about are all personal attacks.
10. Get over yourself.
11. You're wrong
12. Your behavior has exemplified why I don't bother arguing with people who insist on remaining ignorant on an issue, anymore. I suppose it's useful to do it once in a while to remember why it's futile.

good to see you have to repeat things to fill a dozen slots. Also, That isnt a threat even if you want to take it as one. I will say that you have quite a lot of personal attacks on me for someone who cried a lot for just one (yea that was a real personal attack there).
You keep saying im wrong yet fail to even comprehend what im saying. So its like every debate you get into online about men versus women. No wait, you need to know both sides for it to be a debate, lets call it an argument then.

the laws (both common law and statutory) are there for good reason. just because the odd gold-digger runs off with her husbands millions and uses it to by a beemer n some new boobs, doesnt mean they wre necessarily wrong. case law fills in the gaps that written law doesnt cover and makes it more felixible...which is important when it comes to dealing with the inherent diversity of mankind and the messes we get into.
when my parents split my mum got nothing and so we had nothing; my dad was too concerned about her not getting 'his' money to realise that me and my brother were the ones missing out. even if the money is in the mothers pocket, so what?- if the children are living with her then it's their standard of life that is raised. it was hardly fair that we were homeless whilst my dad was living alone in a huge new house and enjoying a (very) early retirement. And even if my mum had of been earning loads of money herself and my dad wasnt, it would have been nice to know my father was contributing to my upbringing and financial needs somehow.

You really just don't get it. Alright, well, I'm not going to argue with a 20 year old any longer. I hope it makes you feel like a big man to "promise" to personally attack a 34 year-old woman and mother of 4. I really don't see what you're trying to achieve and I'm just disappointed. I won't check this thread again. Go ahead and say whatever you want.

Thats not what im saying. My aunt is 40 mother of two who was married for years to her high school sweetheart. He ends up not paying even the bare minimum court mandates and court wont do anything to him since he supposedly gets paid cash and doesnt report it. My aunt is still living at home with her parents to raise her 2 kids. What I am saying is that in the typical man vs woman argument a precedent has been set which is very hardly ever broken. This goes for more than just divorces and alimony and child support. Ive seen it go both ways be it the man gets away with it all or the woman gets away with it all and neither of them are fine.
