Even without the criteria, my chances of finding anyone are slim. So why bother.

The type of person I want does not exist anywhere.

Tim

See Sivad, that's the problem with dream girls, eventually dreams fade away and the real world sinks in. We all need reality girls.

See Tim those sites are a real crapshoot...and really no good for finding anyone for more than a booty call maybe, Now I'm sure many people HAVE found success through that type of site, but I like to think of them more as a vvirtual bar lets say. While it MAY happen chances are you won't find your "soulmate"on one of those sites.
And Mitch perhaps I used the term Dreamgirl a bit too loosely.I meant ideal girl, I'm into girls that are a bit erm...different per se, I'm not looking for someone with 36-24-36 measurements myself or with a models body and palate by anymeans...as that would be hypocritical, but she does havve to be healthy physically and mentally. And yes she does have to share some common interests that I haveand be somewhat accomodating to my problems as well. See It's not so much about getting laid anymore (as that is amazingly one of the few things that haven't been difficult for me over the past few years socially) as it is about finding someone I can connect with. So yeah, backstorying it a little to much there (sorry) maybe I chose the wrong word when I said dreamgirl

And it's a wonder that men like us are gonna be single for the rest of our natural lives if we go for what the media says.

ARE YOU ALL NUTS!! !! !

Go with what is able to be found in front of you.

The Good Lord gave you a brain.

Even if I don't have any criteria and just be myself, I am still unlovable.

I think when you get to college your going to see a massive large pool of women that
are rarely using online dating sites. Your still young .I'm 36 and many sites have a default upper limit of 35 set in the age field. So many people just leave that on
their looking for list.

In my opinion the online dating sites are not usefull. They help a very small number
of their users. I say go ahead and accept it might take a few years at college to
find a girlfriend but its really by far your best place to look.

How will being a few years older than the traditional college student affect my social life?

I was 28 when I went started Uni. I found it was good. I wouldn't worry about an age difference. It doesn't make much difference and there will be older people there anyway.

IMO teenage girls are very silly. 20's are better. 30's are better still. 8)

I have dropped all my criteria except one:

Any woman I date must be an aspie.

I have tried and tried to meet people that I could connect with, but no such person exists.

My criteria for a potential girlfriend is:

1. She is an Aspie
2. She lives within 50 miles of Boise, ID, or is willing to do a long-distance relationship
3. She has the same interests as me
4. She is height-weight proportionate (meaning she is skinny and has an ample chest)
5. She has liberal views toward sex (meaning she is not waiting until marriage).

Criteria #2 aside, I have only come across two people who met all of the other criteria--one of them was not willing to do a long-distance relationship, and the other one was only 17 years old (in the U.S., the age of consent is 18).

If I add criteria #2, stating she must either live near Boise, or do a long-distance relationship, then my chances of meeting anyone is zero.

I give up.

Tim

I was going to volunteer, but my double A's take me out of the running. shucks.

Breasts don't make the woman... Whats more important is what lies between their ears (and if one wants to be crude about it, between their legs, but let's not go there...)

Yes. thankyou Machine1. It's interesting as to what we meet out there that scares me.

Tim. you remind me too much of my friend from high school. a prick. you're too obsessed with trying to find someone perfect, even if tehy're an aspie.

A clue. here. NOT EVA GONNA HAPPEN! you need to loosen up your standards.

my standards?
1) age range doesn't matter...well slightly. youngest I will date is 18, and oldest is mid to late 20's (i.E up to 30...after that....fogetit)
2) personality.
3) body image....doesn't matter. though not overly fat, and not overly skinny.

that's all I look for. You look for too much....almost a bit to obsessivly. Hell, I wouldn't care if the girl I got had sex, it would mean she could teach me a lot....specially if she's older, which will make her better in bed.

remember, you shouldn't be that worried. you're not hopeless. not entirely. a hopeless romantic maybe. but not hopless in ever getting a girl.

If I can't find any Aspie women near where I am going to school (or who are willing to do a long-distance relationship), then I am doomed to be without a girlfriend for 2-3 years because of the unemployment resulting from me going to school full-time.

Maybe it's better that way. At least it'll be one less thing distracting you from your schoolwork. It might just happen that while in ID you'll come across somebody who catches your eye, but doesn't quite meet all of your criteria. Of course it might not happen too, you never know. Not everything is gloom and doom.

I can only date another Aspie. I gave up going to school in Hawaii partly because of the lack of Aspie women there, and I might give up Boise for the same reason.
