I can't understand when people say 'attraction/beauty is subjective" - it's not very true.

So lets get this straight:

It happens, if the girl walking by is a bimbo with fake pair, something that i personally find unattractive.

But in most cases, if I find a girl attractive, the next guy finds her attractive too.

Attraction is almost universal, at least in the same community, stop lying to yourselves people lol.

This what i notice: If a guy is very attractive to one girl, he's usually attractive to 90% of girls. Same for vice versa, at least in the same community/society/country.

Considering the OP told me that if it wasnt for the act and clothes he would be a very attractive guyId say no. You also need to understand he is trying to sell his book to those not very good with women. It wont ell well if the 3 most impotant things were looks now would it :P

Show real interest in the person instead of self obsessively ranting on, genuine interest instead of just talking to them for the sake of talking to them, in other words just talk to them and be interest in who you are. Don't make a girl feel obligated to love you after ten minutes of talking to her. Maybe it will lead to a date, maybe you'll get a good friend out of it, maybe you will get rejected but what have you lost? Absolutely nothing so really you've got nothing to lose and something to gain.

Here's a chat log of a girl I was talking to last night and we were just talking about interests.
Quote:
[14/05/2012 23:47:44] Ryan: Lol yep :) 70's musical ftw I think, even though I haven't seen many
[14/05/2012 23:48:16] Rosie: lol!
[14/05/2012 23:48:27] Rosie: i just love musicals fullstop! haha
[14/05/2012 23:51:13] Ryan: Lol haha =] well I guess I'll have to check one out sometime
[14/05/2012 23:52:31] Rosie: you should! lol
[14/05/2012 23:55:40] Rosie: but talking of which, i actually have a spare ticket for a play my drama teacher from back home is in, her company won a competition for a night in the west end... it's next monday night, so if you'd want to or are able to. offer is there. lol

as ive said, looks will open the door, you still need to walk in.

And as it pains me to say this, i agree with boo. All you have to do is reference to the clooney/pitt/laurie/depp/etc argument showing how such a wide ammount of people (not just women) find them attractive. It isnt a exact method but there is very good chance if one woman in a group likes you that more than one will if not most of them will.

And if the door isn't opened, it would very hard to break it and walk in, hence why it's very important to open it.

Im aware he is a mere salesman and Ive referred to his books as huge marketing successes because thats all they are to me.
However I still think that the double standard to which he is held by some people is funny(ie he is the most knowledgeable man when it comes to woemn but if he says something we dont agree on we just ignore him)

Thats not exactly a double standard. He (and his followers) are the ones who claim he knows women. Everyone else that isnt desperate enough to fall for the bs would know that everything he says is dumb and ignore him.

I was refering to some of his followers who have that double standard. You dont appear to be a follower of him and you are entitled to your own opinion on his work

Very good post, Lilya.

PUA is a scam. It's a community of losers who think they are above normal people.

The more you use PUA, the more your chances of getting laid or getting a date, approaches 0.

There's not more I can say.

Not much.... no, sadly, it's like only 20 to 30% subjective, the rest is quite universal. Like when a group of girls talk about guys, they ALL see a guy x and y are attractive and they ALL see that some z and w guys aren't, (that if they even mention them, they usually don't mention them unless if they are brought up somehow in the convo).

They might only vary in some preferences, like one might prefer darker-looking, the other might prefer bolder guy, another might prefer a more gentle guy.... but as a whole, there's an obvious and undeniable high level of unanimity in those matters.

there are some men that many women like, but that doesn't make them universal. if you ever read People Magazine's list of the sexiest men, you'll see a wide range including (if i recall correctly) Rainn Wilson - not exactly a stereotype i think.

Well, hyperlexian, i think you understand what I mean, we both live on the same planet after all.
