why do you disagree?because by your response you didnt understand what i said. i didnt say we see what we want, rather we do what we see others do. its as basic as how we learn. we are just so used to it that we dont notice it.
i don't agree that people don't think for themselves. i see that they do. i observe this on a daily basis. i can walk outside right now and see people making decisions for themselves and thinking independently. i see that people are perfectly capable of conscious thought, and they exercise that capability constantly.
you can set aside the idea that i don't understand what you are saying, as philosophers have been arguing about this for thousands of years, and there isn't a right answer. either side can be "proven" depending on how you look at it. you believe what you want to believe, and so that is what you see. i believe what i want to believe, and so that is what i see.
