They have been allowed to at most any place I've ever worked. I guess can see maybe a bank or a law office having some kind of dress/personal grooming code, but then I've made it a point to not work at those kinds of places.

OK, that makes sense. I guess I could also see a case for health care professionals not being wanted to have facial hair (although both my doctor and the phlebotomist in his office have full beards and mustaches, they are trimmed).

But somehow I can't see leg and/or body hair being an issue for any workplace.

Ah, is it again the "But I am so stupid, and let others terrorize me with senseless needs, so you must be as stupid as well" argument?" My middlefinger goes to the fancy office industry and I am absolutely happy in my "We dont give a f**k about fashion." basic building industry.

I'm very self-conscious about my body, to the point that I've always worn a shirt while swimming, ever since I was a kid. I never go out in public without a shirt, especially since I started gaining weight around age 15. To this day, my mother refers to me as a "teddy bear", but I often see myself as a hairy marshmallow. I don't tan at all, just sweat and burn.
