I like "J'adore"--it would be a pretty strong statement in English.

It would mean: "I really admire everything about you--physically, emotionally, intellectually."

When someone is said to be "adorable," it means that the person is physically attractive and has a cute, nice personality.

When it is said in reference to a child, though, it's not sexual at all (let's hope not!) It means the child is cute and has a nice personality.

When I went to Paris, people hated it when I tried to speak French; they seem very fussy about how one pronounces things.

I live in NYC; I'm used to "accents." It doesn't matter to me how someone speaks English, as long as I could understand the person.

So here's an update. I saw "the guy" yesterday, along with a bunch of friends. It went really well. We didn't mention it and he behaved exactly the way he always did, no difference whatsoever. Like nothing happened. At first, I was a bit uncomfortable, I couldn't really look at him. But then I got over it because he was clearly fine with the situation. I thought he would at least put some physical distance between us but nope, he was just as affectionate as he always is. (He's the type of person who's constantly hugging/kissing/touching his friends)
So I did not lose the friendship and I am very happy about that. That's all I was hoping for.
Besides, the evening ended with two nice guys I didn't know before playfully "competing" over me, which was fun. Nothing better than an ego boost to fix a "broken heart"
