Hurtloam: I know you posted this a few pages back, but I just wanted to say that I can relate when you mentioned the transparent box. The way I describe it is that I've sort of fallen into this hole, and with every interaction that occurs, I keep digging a deeper and deeper hole. Therefore, it seems like the only way to get out of it/move on would be for me to cut off all communication/interactions.

Yeah, but when you've seen that guy going out with other women in the past you do have to wonder is he really shy or just doesn't like you.

I do that, I make sure I know the women is interested as I know it will blow my confidence if I get it wrong.

Sometimes people don't pick the one they are truly interested in because they don't think the other is interested. Only way you will ever find out is get to know the guy ;)
