f**k confidence. It never worked for me.

It doesn't work if you aren't confident in the 'right' way.

I was very confident in 11th grade but extremely awkward, strange, said ridiculous things, had a very socially ignorant and cringey personality, etc.

In 12th grade I actually developed some social awareness and tact, and actually learned to think before I speak, I had more social success this year then I ever had my whole life, but it still didn't work out positively in the end.

Confidence is just believing in yourself and being comfortable with who you are, correct?

So it has nothing to do with social skills?

Because what if I can not make eye contact with other people, stare at the ground when I walk, say random and stupid rubbish at odd times, and walk funny but as long as I'm comfortable with who I am and 'believe' in myself and believe these things don't matter, I must be 'confident' right?

No, that's just an ignorant lack of self-awareness. Ignorance is bliss.

Criminals tend to be very confident despite being confident in actions that are bad for society.

Walking up to women and saying "I want to take you into my truck and take you back to my house" is confident because it takes balls to do such a thing, you believe in yourself that it'll work, and you're comfortable with who you are!

Confidence is insanity, insanity is confidence.

I am confident that my insanity will impress women, I believe in myself and am comfortable in my own insane, twisted, socio-pathic mind and skin, so therefore I am confident.

Better yet, I amconfident in my unconfidence!

I have an unconfident personality but am comfortable with this and believe in myself and believe it will still work. I confidently believe that even if I can't talk to women it will work and I'll get a girlfriend anyway. I'm sure women will be impressed by my silent radiant of confidence I give off now in my body language and actions!

Confidence is a vague, arbitrarily defined buzzword intended to mean 'Be socially aware and intelligent yet also socially brave' but because its definition is so ambiguous, it leaves a lot of room as a concept to be abused.

How about instead of just having CAWN-FI-DANCE, bro, we aim to strive for two much better and less confusing concepts: Social Intelligence and Contentedness.

All the confidence in the world will not work if you're a socially uneducated fool who will throw everything and more at the wall and see what sticks.

You need strategy, tact, awareness.

You need to study the game of life extensively and take hold and manipulate the game world around you.

Work on changing yourself but also influencing your world around you.

Think of it like the Matrix. Don't be the normal characters just shooting guns, be Neo. Master the code.

To win, you don't just throw everything you've got, in war you don't just aggressively bombard the enemy with your big tanks.

You learn the code, the cheat codes, you manipulate the world around you and get the edge.

When it comes to dating, just throwing everything you've got is when you 'confidently' approach and ask out 100 women the exact same way and they're all no.

You've got to reflect. You've got to realistically look at things.

If you don't care about your appearance or hygiene, then confidence doesn't matter.

If you don't think before you speak, then confidence doesn't matter.

It's better to be a bit hesitant if what you're thinking of is how to be witty rather than just saying the first crappy joke or strange thing that comes to your head.

And secondly, contentedness is about satisfaction with who you are now. Good self-esteem.

Always try to self-improve, but consider it a supplement to who you already are, that you are good enough as a person already but this just makes you even better.

Well I was referring to social confidence. I have been confident in myself for a very long time. But socially confident only very recently.

All sortz like bob marley was killed by the government, 9/11 was an inside job, and everything that happens in the world is controlled by a secret organisation.

I had a friend who pretended to know about tarrot and palm reading just to get into women's pants (but in reality he doesn't even believe in god) - and it worked.

Stupidity....or at least exploiting stupidity pays off sometimes.

Wouldn't that just be to gain attention not because of stupidity.

Women really do like a55hles as long as they're confident, according to this thread.

Let's all calm down for minute. Its not like this person was nasty or anything. Its just that in the world today their is a certain number of people that choose to have sex freely no strings attached. It is a lifestyle choice for many people.

thank you for your high estimation but I am very childlike and not really mature other than in survival behaviors. I could not keep my sweetie I drove her away with my warpedness. no successes that really matter in this world. what this world considers "success" is simply in being able to consistently and effectively exercise "free will" which has eluded me all my life. when I try to do something effectively it has consistently turned around and said "that's what YOU think."
