Have you looked around you lately? At what's happening to the planet, and what people are doing to each other?

I don't see how adding more humans is going to do anything but make matters worse.

That's like saying a bedbug infestation is a good thing because they're so hard to kill.

This is largely a semantic issue... because I am defining drain as the inability to survive and taking more from your fellow man (not nature... everyone takes from nature, it's the way of things) than giving back.

Of course in the long term, and looking at the whole of the world... not just people... of course the human race is a drain on the world. It's always been this way. All creatures take from this world... humans take more.... oh well.

Right. And while humans may have SOME purpose
or value, how likely does it seem that we need to
dominate and extinguish most other species, whilst
scarring the earth, in order to accomplish it?

Maybe we should cut way back on our experiment in
removing natural boundaries on our population, until
we have a pretty good idea of morality, including what
this purpose might be.

Glad to hear someone else agrees with me. Why not just adopt if you want kids?

Fine by me... I don't really care for other animals as much human's.

I'd sacrifice some animals lives so that more human's can live...

I'm not saying that we should destroy the earth, it's ultimate survival is important too... but just like I care for family more than other people... I care about human's more than other creatures.

I see no purpose in marrying and having children . Let others do the breeding .

We're not talking about choosing Fido over a human here.
We're talking about destroying entire species.

Things that we can't make more of.
Kinda like the sickness I felt when the
US went into Baghdad, and failed to
prevent looting, causing the destruction
and loss of some of our human heritage.

Stuff we can't make more of.

Indeed, in this case, something which MIGHT
just be part of our purpose - art.

Why is the proliferation of this particular type
of ape so important to you? Are you also nationalistic,
and family-centric? i.e. f**k them all, just so MY kind
get what we want?

If 'tis important that your genes be passed on though,
shouldn't you want to wipe out most of humanity, to
make certain that your own make a greater percentage
of the total?

I'm ready to puke now!

Humans are not more important than the other animals. Most of the pro human arguments in this htread sound like religion talking. Be fruitful and multiply blah blah blah. Pull your head(s) out. Life is a symbiotic relationship among living things. No one life form is more important than another. You're not doing humans any favors by annihilating other species and saturating Life with humans.

The only thing that makes this planet s**t is humans. Other than that, I like it.

Love is the single most underestimated idea in the world, but that doesn't mean it's a joke. Rather, it's misused and misunderstood.

-twitchy-
Love is true, at least to my young mind it is.
But i say, it does NOT need sex, too much sex, the relashinship will be built around it, sometimes too little it wont work out.
But still, the songs on the radio? damn!
i agree. all those country and rap songs you hear, it just pisses me off...
-twitchy twitch-
il just leave it at that for now

I'm sick of everyone sitting on their asses and acting like they deserve to be loved. Love is a commodity which must be earned. If you're some fat, neurotic, video-gaming loser then don't expect to be loved.

Like someone else said, love is earned. Also if you are rejected by someone, it's their right to, we have the choice who to love and it's a hard decision if it's only just one. There have been people who have confessed their love to me when I already had a boyfriend; does that make it my fault if I refuse on that basis? No, I love the one I am with and I will not give him up.
