-Guys who are too confident and too relaxed; ie. too comfortable with themselves. They're boring.

-Guys who pretend to know what they are talking about, but don't have a clue. (Ie, in discussing politics, the environment, etc.) I've met WAY too many of these. I think there's something about my easy-going demeanor that guys misinterpret as "I'm easily impressed".

-Guys who comment on your appearance. "You're beautiful" is NOT a compliment, unless you know someone well and are commenting on their person as a whole.

And most of the things that have already been said; neediness is a really big one. :P

You're right, poor isn't neccessarily a bad quality, but when poor combines with disorderly and criminal, it is a very bad quality.

Traits that put me off, regardless of anything that I like or respect:
• Social conservative political stance.
• Smoking.
• Thinks that an SUV is a necessity for living in either America or in similar infrastructures.
• Enjoys indulging in celebrity-gossip media.
• Keeps the sound on the TV un-muted during commercials.

Specific to prospective mates, in addition to the above:
• Jewelry worn on lips or other mouth parts.
• Refuses to ever consider (or isn't biologically capable of) having even one child.

Extreme selfishness, closed-mindedness, prejudice.

I agree. Incompetent criminals are just terrible.
That's why I favor robber barons.

Got a definition for selfishness?

Because, I can't see anything which
people do as anything but, in general.

You actually find it a "turn off" if someone isn't capable of having kids? What if you met a great girl, and then she lost her ability to have kids (either through miscarriage, chemo, etc.), would you dump her?

I guess "mate", when used as a noun, might've been incorrect terminology, there. I was referring to a female whom I might otherwise want to mate with.

wanted to spawn (I think).

-plays mind games
-very needy
-very irrational (i don't want a robot but there are extremes..)
-the flat-earther type (doesn't even listen to evidence/arguments, forget about actually examining them - basically this means religious nuts, most conspiracy theorists, loony far-left types)
-thinks celebrity gossip is important (in the way the economy or wars are important)
-cannot understand that not everyone has the same idea of fun
-does things just because it's what pop culture tells them to do, regardless of whether they want to do them or not
-people who have more affection for animals than they would for any human being whatsoever(I've had very bad experiences with pets - they actually improved my opinion of humanity)
-tells others what to think and how to live
-really shallow types
-applies tons of makeup or has lots of piercings or dyes hair a ridiculously artificial colour or dyes it blonde (natural blondes OK)
-totally incompatible interests
-the 'I'm a princess' type (so you want your father to trade you, along with an estate, for a military alliance?)
-the 'I'm a feminist but you have to pay for everything' type (I believe in equality, I cook, I don't think women have a duty to wear makeup or high heels, I don't like women that expect equal rights but expect special treatment when it comes to unpleasant things. i want a relationship among equals)
-then man-hating type
