Does anybody else suffer from bad shoulders and knees? Is it a Autism thing or a me thing?

Both of my rotator cuffs are degenerated; the orthopedist says they simply wore out from hard work. I've also a torn meniscus in my right knee which never healed properly; also from work (years of squat-pressing stretchers into the back of ambulances back in the day). I often need assistance from my mate to get in and out of shirts and winter coats, as my arms don't work well, and I walk with a cane.

That sounds rough for you. My shoulders are constantly painful and make weird clicking / grinding sounds, which worry me a bit. My right knee is also really painful a lot of the time. It becomes really tight and sometimes hot like it's burning in the sun. It gives out a lot of the time as well. I've been walking in the village before and suddenly fall over where it gives out.
I wasn't sure if it was an Autism thing or if it's something else.

I've dislocated both shoulders BMXing & perhaps also while skiing. They work OK but I occasionally get nasty cramps.

That sounds very painful. I've never broke or dislocated anything, but my immune system has a lot of problems so it could be that making my bones weaker.

I try to avoid that as much as possible so I play games as much as I can, there’s not enough games to fill all my time sadly though.

So you're saying you'd have enough time to lay around crying but you couldn't possibly use that time to go to the gym? You don't have to work out for 2 hours a day. Even 30 minutes 3 times a week would be better than not working out at all. Are you saying that you couldn't spare 30 minutes three times a week? As someone who works only part time?

Ultimately it's up to you whether you work out or not but if you don't, it's not that you can't, it's that you don't want to

The Great Recession has created a large amount of men becoming unemployable in the US and Europe. Driverless trucks and more automation has made factory workers and low skilled workers unemployable. With no income and no job, more men face uncertain futures. The education system has seen a higher amount of women graduating from college and gaining employment in an information technology driven world. Women do not want to support unemployable men with no employment prospects. When you are on welfare and food stamps and struggling to survive you are not going to be able to afford education. Education is expensive and is no guarantee to improve employment prospects. There are plenty of college graduates driving Uber, taxis, cleaners and other low skilled jobs.

It was nowhere near as painful as the culture this thread is talking about.

I play games
If I went to the gym my day would just be wake up go to gym, go to work go home sleep repeat. My life would solely exist if working and going to the gym, no time for anything that brings me happiness, why on earth would I do that? Would you give up everything that makes you happy?

The Back-and-forth on the bus takes up too much time. I already spend 4 hours a day on bus, going to the gym adds hours more. When you take the bus there’s no just popping down to the gym or store etc
If I need to go to the bank that’s 1-2 hours. It’s 10 mins for my sister by car.

Also 30 mins of working means 20 mins changing before and after.
So now it’s 50 mins and 1 hour trip both ways so a 30 min workout is 3 hours time. Which is all the time I have before work to get ready and game some or do anything else that pops up.
I’m gone 8 hours to work a 4 hour shift.
I have errands I need to do and stuff around the house.

So ultimately I’d rather do something that I’ll enjoy and bring me some slight happiness then go do something I hate and makes me sad, all to try to appease some woman who will still point out I’m unemployed and don’t own a car.

Maybe you could look into home workouts then. That way it really would take only 30 mins.

My gym is actually on my street, so I didn't factor in travel time, but even so I'd never sign up for a gym that would take me an hour to get to.

Why not have a quick jog on the spot and then do some push ups, or if you prefer lift something heavy. When my brother was growing up and didn't have a job he used to lift an Argos catalogue, in our country they are thick heavy books and he used to lift them like weights every morning and every night. Surprisingly he did actually become pretty muscled using them. Set aside ten minutes a day and you'll soon get fit and this will still give you game time.

Frankly, gym for me is a duty to stay in shape, but I find it very boring.

And women don't want to be bothered in gyms (except by the same sexy trainers), hence they put these earbuds all the time, Duh.

Would you do it if it mean you’re life would just be working and gym?

I do it to stay in shape and for health reasons, not more not less.

I use to do wall pushups and crunches in my bed but I forget to do them, adhd.
