Yes, especially if you were constantly being rejected/avoided/flaked out.



By having never been loved till a great phase of adulthood would starting make you think that you have a missing human feature: the ability to attract the opposite sex.

By having been loved in the past, at least once, and even for a short time would show that you can be loved by someone and that human feature isn't totally missing.
