Here's what you do: When you finally meet a woman who wants to have sex with you, NEVER tell her this. Pretend that you've had a normal sex life and if you must, lie (eg. say that you lost yor virginity at 17, your longest relationship was five years and that you've had eight sex partners in total). That way she doesn't have to know until you're in bed with her.

I wouldn't go that far eight sex partners. For me it would be just one, about how the lie would be, I have thought about saying to a woman who I would be dating, [if that ever happens] that I'm a virgin or that I have had only one sex partner before and lost my virginity at 20 something, that would be more credible.

But I dunno, if she looks like she wouldn't mind that I have used the service of a prostitute "just once" for losing my virginity, perhaps I could tell her a half truth, but I don't know if that would be too risky, might as well do a poll in some area :P (Not here, WP sucks for that) I would be in some kind of dilemma, lol. I suppose the second option (one sex partner) is safer.

If you decide to actually sleep with a hooker, never tell this to a woman. You might also want to do some research; sleeping with an escort who actually likes her job isn't morally despicable (allthough I would never do so myself)

It's awesome, I mean thanks to that I'm not depressed.

I would just like to say that I'm 34 and still a virgin. My philosophy now is, if the right man comes along and we get married, then hey, that's great. If not, that's fine, too. It's not something I'm actively looking to experience.

Sorry if I sound a tad self-righteous. :(

Contrary to a few years ago, I actually somewhat agree with the people who say that losing your virginity is not as big of a deal as you might think before you do it. Provided, that is, you date or sleep with women you're not attracted to just because you want experience, and feel you can't get anyone you actually want. I still feel that way, even though most of the women I've been with have been virgins themselves.

I do feel in a way less frustrated, and it did reduce tension somewhat to know I could get someone, but in another way I don't feel any closer to fulfilling my "dreams".

What I really yearn for is a girl that I'm attracted to, and who is new to relationships and romance, who is in that "brand newness stage" that most are in during middle and high school. That's what I feel cheated out of. In one way this might be easier to find than a virgin, because even a girl who has never had a crush or romantic feelings reciprocated may have (like myself) tried it with someone she wasn't into. Though on the other hand, there are virgin women who have had several boyfriends, and are nearly as jaded to the newness of it all as non-virgins.

I'm just wondering if that's part of the reason some people aren't successful getting dates. If you found a girl you genuninely liked - that you like more than the average girl you see - you wouldn't have to pretend. You could show genunine affection towards her, and she would most likely be able to tell you were concerned about making her happy and enjoying being with her, rather than being concerned with what you'll get out of it. Surely in that situation she'd be more likely to find you attractive?

Sadly, it doesn't work that way.

Of course just because you have feelings towards someone doesn't mean they will be into you too. There are other, complicated reasons for not being sucessful in relationships. But it just seems odd to me that some people seem to deprioritise the wants and feelings of their potential partners without seeing how this isn't going to help them win anyone over.

Well, at least you seem to realize that doesn't always work.

Isn't the whole rule of the Bible (or life in this case) is to just have ONE sexual partner who'm you cherish and will forever do so?

Not that I care, but hey....thems some nice rules.

I'm another woman who wouldn't be scared of dating a virgin. Why would it matter? I'm not very experienced myself and only had one serious relationship which ended 11 years ago.

I'm 31 and men my age all seem to have lived with partners or been married and already have children. I'd prefer to meet someone who is on an equal footing with me and all these first-times for me will be first-times for us both. (And I really don't want to be a stepmother!)

If I met a man I loved and found out he was a virgin, I'd think that he was obviously very choosy about who he let into his life, and he'd chosen me - I'd feel I meant a lot to him.

That's a good point. People always pretend that STDs don't exist when discussing subjects like this one.

...And then there's the other side that acts like most of humanity is just infested with every damn STD imaginable. Scare tactics are stupid...

I don't think that's the case...it's just that woman obtain it easier because men are more desperate.

Fortunately, men only marry when they went to...so I see many more marriage-less woman then marriage-less men because they usually cave in to desperate woman who want to be married.

It is quite rare nowadays to know virgin men at that age.

I surely can't be the only one on here. If so, that makes me feel pretty bad. I've never had a girlfriend. I would like one, but it's really pushing it if you're an Aspie virgin over 30 years of age.

I saw a few much older guys post in here. Add one more. I was 52 before I even got interested in women and using dating sites (Thanks to a cousin getting me on facebook). And 53 before before I had an intimate g/f. I was just lucky to run acroos one online that came on to me first. Too disabled to have any real future, but it broke the ice and made things so much easier since then. She was lonely too 13 yrs after a divorce. Still looking but had some nice dates since. It does get better once it happens to you. :)

I just turned 26 and I've had several attempts to pursue relationships but they never were interested in me. I've been on at date or two, but I didn't realize they were dates at the time, with the girl saying "that was the most romantic/intimate" date I've had, and didn't know what to do. We're still friends but as you get older you seemingly have a more varied array of people to mingle with when your paths diverge and since you don't see the person, you don't think about them, at least rarely enough to make further social encounters an equinanimous thing and equitable exchange. Most people I have seen in a romantic light seem indifferent or finds it petty or beneath them. It's a NTs game and a lot of females seem to be caught up early on with the primal, instinctual psychology behind whether a man is manly enough for her, just a general observation from my observable universe. The possibility of dating an older person has always been something I thought I was fated to end up with, because it naturally fits my psychology.

I've also had several instances were women have either been bipolar on one extreme to extremely flaky and I'm so naive in one instance with the bipolar person that I was deep in depression over my inability to connect or stem her vitriolic behavior because I thought I cared about her. Its like she doesn't even exist anymore and a sense of opprobrium falls over me and I feel even worse because she probably senses my mood towards her now that she's more mature and upbeat about life.

I get friend-zoned often and for my part I'm not attracted to most people I encounter. I guess insouciance has become the way I get by uncomfortable situations. I do have friends and I feel at this stage in my life it is far better to be understood than loved in the romantic sense. I found out about my ASD just over a year ago and my close-friends at that time didn't seem to care.

I think at least I've known what love is even if it was always one-sided. I feel bad at my inability to connect or understand a lot of nuance. I think my situation has gone a bit 'south'. The only time I get out is when a good friend comes to town or another friend downtown invites me to chill with them over the weekend.

I don't get hung up over not ever having had sex or a romantic relationship. I think I'm a great person with a lot to offer but on the same token, is a one-night stand really something I want to commit myself to just to 'get it out of the way'? The whole thought now is kinda hard to process. I know that if I set-up that situation I'd just walk out of it on second thought.

I'm simply not a player in the sexualized world we live in and that's okay with me. Maybe I'm just an asexual? I'm not sexually motivated to pursue relationships and I don't think its laxity on part of never having had sex either. I still have difficulty watching these awkward sex-scenes in movies. Any stort of PDA I still have a hard time hiding my discomfort, it's like it isn't meant for me.

I haven't quite figured out if all this is a complex from past failures that's just cemented in a indifference to the activity of dating and romance altogether. It just seems troublesome and its no use fussing over. I'm just going to live my life and if someone wants to partner with me on the ride, so be it. Otherwise I"ll just be the lone elephant in the jungle too concerned with what I'm foraging to care.

Actually, I'll change "what I am":

If you've had pretty much all other forms of sex other than intercourse, you ain't a virgin. So, I'm not.
